Hi. My name is Stephanie and I'm 20 years old. I was just diagnosed with asperger's this summer and it does explain a lot. I've always had trouble with talking with other people and being sociable. At my old church a lot of the youth would think I was stand offish or didn't like them, but I just didn't know how to be a part of them. Also, there are things like I've never liked loud noises and my ears have always been sensitive and I'm bad with making eye contact. Right now I just stay at home doing nothing, which can be really depressing. My parents are trying to fight to get me services though and I really do hope one day my life will change for the better. I've been through a lot, but I feel like I've never been able to give up on hope. Anyway, as far as interests go I love music(rock/alt, some pop), I love to read and I like to cook and bake.

I hope that you get doing something soon...staying at home is no fun. I am staying home doing nothing lately also but that will change soon.

Well, I hope I can explain this well enough...It's like ever since I was young I've been in this fog, I guess and since getting older, I've been slowly awakening and learning things about my life and fully waking up to everything going on, some good, some bad but I'd rather be awake then asleep and to be able to truly live.

Actually, I live in the United States.

I've always wanted to learn an instrument...either the piano or the guitar or both. My sister tried to teach me the piano once, but then gave up. I can't read or understand notes for the life of me and I can't play by ear so it just leaves me wishing for a talent I don't have and being jealous of people who have that talent, lol.

Anyway, thanks for everyone's kind welcomes. I appreciate them all.
