I don't really have a good system - it can't handle big games like D00M 3 or anything like that.

So with that in mind, do you have any recommendations for a good FPS that I can play? Know where I can download them for free?

I know of two good ones. One is the original Halo, has some great multiplayer. The other one is called Gunz, just google it and you will find it. They are both PC games, ofc.

Another game is War Rock, i think that game is free.

A cool 2d game is Soldat, it dosn't need a very fast comp to play.

Unreal Tournament 2004 should be able to run on your system.

If you want a free game, check out Sauerbraten at www.sauerbraten.org

How about blaming people that actually voted for Bush, instead of blaming Nader? Maybe if the Democrats didnt run another wooden, corporate candidate, Nader wouldnt need to run. Nader has done more for this country in the past 30 years than all Democrats combined.

No, I don't think that would make a good FPS at all. Maybe an RPG, but the replay value would be pretty low, I would imagine.

PainKiller is an excellent game, its about a guy who is hired as a hitman in the underworld, so that he can see his girlfriend again, who both him and her died in a car crash.

Body Count, is a basic shooting game, based off war times.

Turok evolution on ps2 is great.

Not sure about many other ones..

Viva la 3d shoooters!!

My boyfriend loved Call of Duty 4. So much he spent all of Xmas playing it and by Boxing day he'd finished it.

And Halo is great. My boyfriend and I played it together in co-op mode. Great NYE!! !! !! !! !

If you have an older system that can't handle the new games, I'd recomend Half-Life. Download Steam, and buy Half-Life, the original one, NOT Half-Life Source. Then you can download and play Half-Life mods such as natural selection and stuff:

Half-Life:
You are Gordon Freeman, an MIT graduated physicist who works at the Black Mesa Research Facility in New Mexico. You are deep in the underground facility when a portal experiment goes horribly wrong, establishing a portal connection with a hostile alien world, trapping you and the entire science team in the facility with the threat of an invasion always present. On top of that, the US government has sent in soldiers to contain the invasion, and shoot everyone and everything on sight:

Natural Selection:
NS is a free mod that you can download and play if you have the Half-Life game. It is a multiplayer game where 2 teams, the marines and aliens, have to battle to destroy the enemy base. It's like an RTS, up close and personal:

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 is a fantastic shooter in its own right, bonus points if you happen to like Star Wars as well. Also of course Half-Life is fantastic. In fact Jedi Knight was once named PC Gamer magazine's Greatest Game of All Time on one of their Top 50, but was dethroned by Half-Life the next time they did one.

Also System Shock 2 if you like a little RPG in your FPS, and just a downright creepy atmosphere.
