I never really "fancied" a cartoon character as you would a regular person, but there was a time when I like watching the modern version of Johnny Quest (when I was around 11 or so) because of Johnny Quest. It was short lived though and I later moved on to Dexter from Dexter's lab (when I was 12-13). Then I stopped watching cartoons. :P

I'm sure this won't come as a surprise to anyone: Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a crush on a cartoon character. It usually just means the character embodies traits you look for in real people.

In which case, I dig Orihime Inoue from "Bleach."

I could list a few, but for now I'll go with Rita from Flushed Away...

Back in the days when Doug was on, I had this weird thing for Chalky Studebaker...

...yeah, I dunno, it's weird. It's not a "type" thing either cuz I'm not into jocks...

That makes a lot of sense. I notice the types of cartoon characters that I fancy are also the kinds of people I look for in real life.

BTW, am I the only American who likes using the word "fancy" in this context? I like "holiday", too, like to "go on holiday." Fancy going on holiday with me?

Ash from Pokemon. :p  I was... what, 11, at the time though.

Hmm. Most characters I want to just tackleglomp rather than crush on now though. Hitsugaya from Bleach is cute, but I just want to make him smile. XD;; And Fai from Tsubasa is /stunning/, but he belongs to Kurogane.

Actually, though, while rewatching Tarzan this Easter, I couldn't help but think that Jane is made of pure win. And Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet is pretty awesome too. Those two would be my current list.
