Non-anime fans?

There seems to be alot of anime fans around WP, but you don't hear from many non-fans. I have never really liked anime myself, and was wondering how many others are out there? Am I alone?

No you're not alone. There's nothing wrong with anime but I've been noticing that too. I just have never gotten into anime.

I can't stand anime... it gives me a headache. It just seems so inane and pointless. That is, the story lines that I have seen anyhow. I managed to survive ghost in the shell... but have seen similar themes done one hundred times better one hundred times in books.

Though if some can find entertainment and value in it, I won't begrudge them that fact. I'd just prefer not to watch it.


EDIT: You'd probably find the good 'ol silent majority aren't into anime. Just the fans creating a bunch of threads so it LOOKS like everyone is into it.

I try not to say anything, but I honestly can't stand anime. A couple of my friends love it and it drives me up the wall. I'm much happier with American or Canadian animation.

I don't like it much, about the only one I like is Naruto.
But I like other TV shows much more than that and watch Naruto as little as possible!

Why does it seem like there's a high number of anime fans on this site?

I don't know, but I still like anime, I don't begrudge anyone who says they don't like them, they have their own opinion about whats good and I have mine.

Because we can related to it a lot times. An example is Gundam and Zeta Gundam the main characters were not very social so there is a relation for some of aspies.

American Animations is ok once in a while too.

No I won't watch it, never.. never, must never watch any of it or I too will succumb.....maybe.

Well if you remember Transformer the series. Japanese Anime for an idea that us Americans ask them to do for us. (Yes we suck at animating giant robots then)

you should (become) find a anime that you like so that you can be
(one of us) able to understand all the weird stuff some people say around here.

(i've been wanting to do that pod person thing for a while and this gave me the best chance to do it.)
