Jr, that is Jeremy's fantasy. He has fantasies of being the evil villian, the Wicked king who kills a bunch of people. Isn't that obvious? He is drawing pictures about his fantasies of killing people. I don't agree the song is about someone with AS or an ASD though. Just a song about a troubled youth.

Actually, you are right, it's just that I didn't have that little piece of info, and it really didn't make sense until I went back and read that specific lyric. NOW of course it's obvious, lol. :D The post makes perfect sense, just needed to be re-acquainted with that most obvious lyric.

The Kills - U.R.A Fever

Walk you to the counter
What you got to offer?
Pick you out a soda
Look at you forever
Walk you to the water
Eyes like a casino
You ain't born typical

Find a piece of silver
Pretty as a diagram
Go down to the Rio
Put it in my left hand
Put it in a fruit machine
Everyone's a winner
Laughing like a seagull

You are a fever, you are a fever
You ain't born typical
You are a fever, you are a fever
You ain't born typical

Living in a suitcase
Meet a clown and fall in love
Been dying to have you over
Clown around and break up
Take you to a jukebox
That's the situation
Pick you out a number
That's our arrangement

Dancing on the legs of a new born pony
Left right left right, keep it up son
Go ahead and have her, go ahead and leave her
You only ever had her when you were a fever

I am a fever, I am a fever
I ain't born typical
I am a fever, I am a fever
I ain't born typical
We are a fever, we are a fever
We ain't born typical
We are a fever, we are a fever
We ain't born typical

"Be Human" -Yoko Kano

There was a song by a Canadian folk singer named James Gordon. For the life of me I can't rememeber the name of the song, but the chorus is:

"There's a deep dark contenent,
between what I said and what I meant,
it's as big as an elephant,
the space between us when I try to talk to you,
when I try to talk to you."

"Stolen Child" -Loreena McKennitt

This song was writen about the changling legend.

Chasing Cars lyrics

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
I said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Bonnie Raitt
Nobody's Girl

She don't need anybody to tell her she's pretty
She's heard it every single day of her life
He's got to wonder what she sees in him when theres so many others
Standing in line
She gives herself to him, but he's still on the outside.
She's alone in this world
She's nobody's girl
She's nobody's girl
She shows up at his doorstep in the middle of the night
Then she disappears for weeks at a time
Just enough to keep him wanting more
But never is he satisfied
And he's left to pick up the pieces
Wondering what does he do this for
She's off in her own little world
She's nobody's girl
She's nobody's girl
He said, Before I met her, I didn't love nothing.
I could take it or leave it,
That was okay, but, she brings out a want in me, of things I didn't even
Know that I need.
She does anything she wants, anytime she wants to.
With anyone, you know, she wants it all.
Still she gets all upset over the least little thing
When you hurt her, it makes you feel so small.
And she's a walking contradiction, but I ache for her inside.
She's fragile like a string of pearls,
She's nobody's girl.
She's nobody's girl.
She's nobody's girl.

***************************************************

The girl's symptoms don't seem to be typical of a person with Asperger's, but I identify with the feeling of isolation and emotional disconnect.

"Silent All These Years" by Tori Amos

Excuse me but can I be you for a while
My dog won't bite if you sit real still
I got the anti-Christ in the kitchen yellin' at me again
Yeah I can hear that
Been saved again by the garbage truck
I got something to say you know
But nothing comes
Yes I know what you think of me
You never shut-up
Yeah I can hear that

But what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his
With her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes
I said sometimes
I hear my voice
And it's been here
Silent All These Years

So you found a girl
Who thinks really deep thougts
What's so amazing about really deep thoughts
Boy you best praya that I bleed real soon
How's that thought for you
My scream got lost in a paper cup
You think there's a heaven
Where some screams have gone
I got 25 bucks and a cracker
Do you think it's enough
To get us there

Years go by
Will I still be waiting
For somebody else to understand
Years go by
If I'm stripped of my beauty
And the orange clouds
Raining in head
Years go by
Will I choke on my tears
Till finally there is nothing left
One more casualty
You know we're too easy Easy Easy

Well I love the way we communicate
Your eyes focus on my funny lip shape
Let's hear what you think of me now
But baby don't look up
The sky is falling
Your mother shows up in a nasty dress
It's your turn now to stand where I stand
Everybody lookin' at you here
Take hold of my hand
Yeah I can hear them

And it's been here
Silent All These Years
I've been here
Silent All These Years

Speaking of Tori Amos, this one always reminded me (in a very generic way that could apply to non-autism-related situations) of autistic people who pass for non-autistic, especially after being forced to as part of behavioral therapy or something.

Lyrics here.

Have seen that song used by parents for videos about their autistic kids.

The lyrics of Stone Sour - Through Glass

Believe it or not the Lead Singer of Stone Sour, Corey Taylor and the lead guitarist Jim Root are also the lead singer and lead guitarist for Slipknot
Heres one of my faves by them

Ummm *still thinking*

I kinda associate '100 years' by five for fighting to be an autism song because autistics seem to age a lot slower then our peers.

I thought about Hollow Man (great song 8)) and The Wrong Child too.
But I don't understand why Bad Day should be considered a song about autism :?
