I tend to wear my clothes until they are completely worn out. I don't care if people think I'm scruffy, I'm always clean. I like wearing the same clothes a lot and I will usually wear something until it falls apart (not literally but holes will usually mean dumping). I do wash all my clothes on a regular basis. I hate buying new clothes as I usually pick something bad and then end up never wearing it because it's not comfortable. I've always been like this too. Comfort is more important than appearance to me.

Does anyone else have these sorts of issues with clothes?

Yep, if its clean and feels good, i wear it. But theres a difference,
when at home i dont care at all, i put on whatever. When i`m going to
the shops and such, i like to put on something thats not worn down,
feel a little uncomfortable looking like a bum in public for some reason,
dont care about fashion and all that fluffy pointless crap, but like to be
clean and such when going out

Then we are at least two, dont dare think about how many items of
clothing i have bought, just to throw it in the trash two our later because
it just didnt work like it did when i tried it in the store, what a money drain
that is - when i had a girlfriend, it was heaven because she loved to shop
so i just gave her some $ and she always came back with things i liked
and was comfortable to wear, always! :) good times, good times..

I'm sort of like this too. I'm not immune from social pressures. I generally wear jogging bottoms at home but jeans and slacks out and about.

Excactly! i wear the jogging-pants at home all the time, but feel i have
to put on some regular pants when going out - its fading a little though,
going out more and more wearing the jogging pants, guess i care less
and less or something

For me, comfort is far more important than appearance. I like my clothes to be comfy, not constraining.

I have to go to work 5 days a week so I must wear uncomfortable office clothes. However as soon as I get home I change into one of 3 sets of pajamas, then on the weekends I wear the same 2 shirts every weekend because I like them. Makes it easy to pick out clothes every day.

I hate new clothes, they don't feel as though they're mine. I have some that are falling apart, but I just can't seem to convince myself that I need to buy more

I wear my jeans till they are frayed or full of holes, I will recycle them into cut offs if the heams are frayed. I don't wear any artificial fabrics, only cotton shirts and jeans

I tend to wear jeans until the rear end portion finally beaks looks. Luckily, I haven’t had such an event happen in public yet.

Sounds just like me. I have some tshirts that are I kid you not over 15 yrs old (no holes yet). I only wear jeans and tshirts/sweatshirts. Everything must be cotten. And oh yeah Hanes is my best friend (gotta love tagless underthings). :) Anyway, Yes I am just like this. So in fact is my older son. Oh and if and when any of us gets something new it MUST BE WASHED (lots of fabric softener both liquid and dryer sheet kind) IMMEDIATELY! LOL!

This is what I do too. Except in my case the crotch wears away. I have also avoided any accidents.

Oh, absolutely. I buy most of my clothes from thrift stores now anyway, because I hate shopping in fashionable boutiques, and I hate fashion, period. I just don't get how people will happily wear colors, fabrics and styles they hate because some magazine tells them to.

I'm so glad I work in a place that lets me wear jeans now. Years ago I was in an office where they expected skirt suits. I never found a skirt suit that fitted me properly or that I didn't feel like a trussed-up turkey in.

I wear t-shirts until they fall apart. Shoes too. I can't stand the smell of new clothes, because they're doused with formaldehyde. Any new clothing has to be washed immediately. The Missus goes to the store and picks out things for me. Makes me very happy ...
