OK, sorry, LOL. On-Topic: I predict another moral hypocrite will take Thompson's place. Unfortunately, it's popular to attack video games these days.

Yes. While arguments defending things like, say, Manhunt don't exactly hold water, one has to realise that there will be loonies who take what they play in GTA or things like that to the next level. These are people who shouldn't be playing it in the first place. But they are in the vast minority.

Thompson was also astoundingly misinformed, or else stupifyingly quixotic. Bully (or Canis Canem Edit, as it is called in Australia) is nowhere near a 'Columbine simulator'. In fact, you get punished more promptly for wrongdoing than in GTA. And the most offensive weapons you have are a slingshot and a bottle-rocket launcher. Potentially lethal weapons, to be sure, but nothing like what Thompson implied.
