In the summer how much time should you spend in the sun?

Are you trying to get a tan? I know everyone wants to be a nice bronze, but it's really not good for your skin and it causes damage, so be really careful.

If you must be out in the sun, be sure to apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes before you go out, and keep reapplying as per the instructions on the sunscreen. The last thing you want is a burn. When you come in from the sun, use a good body moisturizer.

You should be okay if you take precautions against sunburn. Getting some sunlight is really good for your mood too. I think that it causes your body to produce Vitamin D, and Vitamin D is good for the winter blahs, and helps with mild depression as well. Getting sun is good for you, as long as you take some precautions against burning.
