Taken from KLS Foundation:

Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS) is a rare and complex neurological disorder characterized by periods of excessive amounts of sleep and altered behavior. The disorder strikes adolescents primarily.

Is anyone familiar with KLS as a parent, adult, or from childhood? There is little information about this disorder available. I've found just about everything available on it. I'd like to hear personal accounts from the Autistic Spectrum with KLS also. I'm undiagnosed with anything accurate by doctors, but I've self diagnosed KLS, and possibly AS, but I seem to be a more generalised Spectrum disorder because my family members seem to be from one end of a Spectrum to another. Who knows? I don't have simple answers.

This sounds a lot like me. I go through 'phases' where I can sleep 18 hours a day and have no energy for anything at all, as well as being super-spaced-out and disconnected from everything and disoriented.

The only thing that doesn't match up is the hypersexuality.

Iiiinteresting.

That's a good link to break down symptoms and percentages of sufferers with each. Hypersexuality is not a requirement.
