Okay everyone, not entirely sure if this is the right forum to post this on but...

... I am horrifically clumsy, so much so that my left leg is currently practically green with bruises from falling on the stairs on numerous occasions.

Alas! Fellow clumsy-people, give me some advice! :)

I'm not clumsy but you could try a sport that improves your perception and awareness of your own body.

Hmm, what kinda sports do that.

Mostly I avoid sport because it results in serious injury :(

Yoga maybe <_<?

In general i'm not clumsy(with bigger and general movements, but i i'm clumsy with small/finer movements.....i think). My clumsiness is generaly low, but sometimes it can swing up and down and i can get abit to unlucky with it, lol >_>.

If you want to do some sort of sport to get a better control of your body, a sport where you use your body would be good i guess, but not something that can also cause injuries, as it seems you want to avoid that.

So what i can come up with is Yoga/meditation.
Maybe dancing?

Ah, like knocking things over?

Yeah, maybe Yoga. I am sooo horrific at dancing I just generally avoid it at all costs. I did try squash a bit, but I mostly wind up hurting myself! :(

Now I just have to work out how I can find somewhere to do Yoga! :)

i'm clumsy but i think it's mostly due to my adhd. i just don't pay attention and knock things over, but sometimes i'll accidentally bump into a corner as i walk by or i'll fumble with something i'm holding. i've found that rowing has helped with my body control, you have to be aware of a lot of different things that your body is doing in order to row efficiently, so it forces you to be more aware of your body movements and position

Anything that involved coordinated movements that focus on the whole body.

Dancing styles that do not require a partner from jazz to ballet, various martial art styles, gymnastics and swimming are popular ones that require you to master movements that involve your whole body.

Then sports such boxing, horse riding, fencing and climbing might help too, I think.

Your female. At least you are not socially compelled to do all the social activities that require co-ordination, unlike poor males like me... :(

True true, I do like the fact I can get away with it. However I will eventually become so fat I cannot leave my bed if I carry on at this rate! :)

You could always try kickboxing, or bag training routines. They've got all sorts of pads for your poor legs too. Striking a training bag is a good workout and it teaches you a lot about stance, coordination, balance, I could go on.. It's great though.
