My current contract is ending soon and I’m considering not renewing it.

I know a lot of firms are cutting staff with the recession and all that, but I’ve been with my current firm too long and ideally it’s time to move on.

I’m getting quite a few calls from recruitment agents but you can’t trust a word they say. So, I was wondering how other freelancers are finding work at the moment?

I work in another industry where recruitment agents are common. It is difficult to trust them as their business model is one of stealing candidates from other recruiters. To be perfectly honest, some of them are scum. However my current job is really nice and it came to me from a recruiter. So its a necessary evil to some extent.
