Accused spy attacks National Intelligence Council nominee
Alarming appointment at the CIA
The United States' new Director of National Intelligence has appointed Charles Freeman to be head of the National Intelligence Council. Steve Rosen has been indicted for espionage and is leading the charge against him. The media and most of respectable opinion are lining up behind the accused spy...
Times like these are for citing Sir John Harrington (1561-1612): "Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? Why, if it prosper, none dare call it treason."
Seems to be more about him being a critic of Israel. You can't always have all your way.
Ambassadors make poor spies. It is customary for a military attaché to be a field officer, but real intelligence comes from local people. I know this from my dad's posting in Angola during the civil war. The CIA operates outside embassies anyway. The alleged controller in Angola was referred to as fatso or something, so with a nickname like that he obviously isn't going to be running about.

The spy has won...
Freeman has given up. So, are people shocked that some people don't like Jews? A man accused of spying for Israel has successfully forced out someone from an important intelligence position because of insufficient devotion to a foreign state, Israel... and has re-established the precedent that only servants of Israel are allowed to have influence and conduct analysis and help shape the decisions that cause such things as the invasion of Iraq, which was launched and planned by people whose main loyalty was to Israel first. The only reason why there isn't massive anti-Semitism in the U.S. is because the media suppresses this kind of information... One day, however, the dam will burst... It is very sad.
