Oh yeah, fire is a great one too. I love the smell of wood or charcoal burning. I wish I had a fireplace now that I'm on my own - my mom would rarely let us make a fire in the fireplace at home because it was too messy and she didn't want to clean up.

I used to sniff markers, rubber cement, gasoline, Elmer's glue (non-toxic, I know) all the time when I was little, and my parents yelled at me and made me stop =/

agreed about the matches, fireworks and railtracks. horse manure is ok too =p (I wonder how it would smell burned... )

Hmmmm.... now I must know. Next time I'm at the stables I'll scoop up a pile, bring it home, douse it in lighter fluid, set it ablaze, and get back to you. Maybe that will be my WP YouTube directorial debut.

(Need a pyro thread - but I'm not starting it. Don't want to end up on a watchlist).

Yeah - and its kind of a bummer - with all the carbon emissions, too. But hasn't slowed me down too much.

When I first moved to GA it was still legal to burn leaves and yard waste. Mmmmmmm..... Not anymore. I know its best but I still miss it.

Someone in my office bought odorless dry erase markers. What is the *#!@*%@ point of that? If it doesn't have the odor it means you need a new marker. Those are the rules.

I should add that if people aren't getting high while I am writing am writing on a whiteboard then it requires me to actually be interesting and make sense. The added pressure is not worth it.

Yeah ether smells nice - its just too bad one
gets so short a time to smell it before it renders
you useless and unable to smell anything
i have a bottle of petroleums ether somewhere,
scary stuff but it smells nice. Maybe i should
point out i dont have it to sniff it - i use it to
bring out watermarks in paper, makes them
easily visibel, for example on stamps and
bank notes.

Funny thing, when i buy that stuff i first have
to go to the police and get a paper from them,
then i go to the pharmacist and show him the
paper - then i`m allowed to buy the ether 8O
Seems a little over the top, but if someone
gets killed with ether they have the names
of everyone who has bought it on file :)

Wow I didn't realize it was such a controlled substance! I was using it in the science lab and got yelled at for not opening any windows, since I didn't realize it's actually noxious.

Oh jeez I love the smell but then I found out it kills brain cells so I had to stop. I think I already did kill some brain cells because my memory isn't go good anymore. What a way to get rid of your aspie superpowers.

I'm with you. I am not opposed to people getting their jollies - but sniffing noxious chemicals really does kill your brain cells.

Also, any DIY'er apsies also know what its like to overdo the inhalants. Even latex paint without proper ventilation will cause a nasty sinus infection and cause one to hack gray stuff up for days.

lol guys, nobody's talking about inhaling it in large quantities :p I enjoy using them and always have one on my desk for an occasional sniff  it wouldn't even occur to me to try and get high on those.

Yeah - I know but some of the young 'un's were getting a little excited - so just needed a quick reality check.

Funny - one of my favorite movie lines: "Looks like I picked a bad day to to quit sniffing glue!"

Haha, did you actually think I sniffed glue?

I also watched that movie! There were A LOT of puns in that movie. The Swedish subtitles seemed pretty lame in comparison to what was actually said.

I hate the smell of permanent markers, they're horrible.
I do like the smell of fire

Anyone know what napalm smells like? Morning or otherwise? I LOVE that line - but now I'm curious. Is it like burning gasoline? Anyone? Anyone?
