For some reason this song reminds me of what it is sometimes like, having aspergers syndrome. Knowing that sometimes i really should say something, or be more talkative and i just don't really know what i should say or how to say it.
As to me the backup singers tend to be the thoughts of the other people, NT or not.
Also i really love how they have an actual sound clip of Stephen Hawking as the starting of the song

Anyway, i would love to hear your thoughts on this song. Like it? Hate it? Or maybe I'm just crazy?

Keep Talking -- Lyrics
For millions of years mankind lived just like animals
Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination
We learned to talk

There's a silence surrounding me
I can't seem to think straight
I'll sit in the corner
No one can bother me
I think I should speak now_________(why won't you talk to me)
I can't seem to speak now_________(you never talk to me)
My words won't come out right _____(what are you thinking)
I feel like I'm drowning ___________(What are you feeling)
I'm feeling weak now_____________(why won't you talk to me)
But I can't show my weakness _____(you never talk to me
I sometimes wonder _____________(what are you thinking)
Where do we go from here ________(what are you feeling)

It doesn't have to be like this
All we need to do is make sure we keep talking

Why won't you talk to me _________(I feel like I'm drowning)
You never talk to me_____________(you know I can't breathe now)
What are you thinking____________(we're going nowhere)
What are you feeling_____________(we're going nowhere)
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
Where do we go from here

I own that album :D

I'm not sure why, but the opening lines by Stephen Hawking always give me chills. Not at the voice, but something about the image that the words create... I make a lot of images in my mind when I listen to music.

One line that always stood out from this album, and that I found quite fitting for some time, was in the song after this one. It went something like, "... stuck in a world of isolation, while the ivy grows over the door."

Some hardcore Floyd fans dismiss the later albums due to the band no longer being whole by then, but I still think it's a great album in its own right.

Really? Nobody else? I thought Mr_M had a good thread with this album being all about communication or lack thereof.

One of my favourite Floyd albums. I adore almost every second of it.
