All the contradictions, absurdities and errors. I'd suggest both the documentary The God Who Wasn't There and several websites including:

http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/

Also, books by Dan Barker, Richard Dawkins and David Mills.

Probably not as readily as I'd buy an Alienware M17 quadcore laptop.

I think the Christians around here have a right to discuss the particulars of their belief system with each other and anybody else who's interested without having their entire belief system get slammed.

This thread deals with a particular passage from the Bible. If somebody isn't interested, your computer has a mouse. Click another topic.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

The only Republic that I liked was that of Rome. As for this country, perhaps a general should conquer the continents, then come back here and declare himself Imperator. (Half seriously, somewhat kidding.)

Congress passes too many laws every year, for the last 232 years, for anyone to know, let alone follow them all. No matter who someone is, be assured that they are breaking some law passed by a handful of men, written in legalese, and in such massive tomes as to never be grasped.

Abolish it and have the laws simplified in order to be grasped.

Rome was made of Iron, but America would be made of composite armor.

Thank you for saying this, though right now I'm in a bellicose mood.

Not how I'd see it,

I think it would fit the description of the feet of iron and clay which was in Daniel 2:33b, 41-43.

It's not a matter of piety, because even a druid or a follower of Jupiter/Zeus can be pious.

Also, who would God rather assist? Those who hate His chosen people or those who have defended them and provided them with weapons and technology? Not all people here are the same, nor are those in the middle eastern countries all the same though. But in terms of the actions of nations, either for or against Israel.
