I bought the DVD for my daughter and it took me right back to all those crappy Saturday mornings when the other kids were outside playing and I was inside watching TV before my parents woke up and locked me out of the house for the day. (nice upbringing, yeah..I know)
But I did always like Schoolhouse Rock more than I liked a lot of the stupid cartoons they showed. How much "Land of the Lost " can any person be expected to withstand, you "slee-stax" (Don't know how to spell it really)
Theres a lot of science ones on it that I NEVER saw on Saturday mornings.
Even at work to this day when someone tells me how descriptive I am, I just tell them I'v "unpacked my adjectives"
At work I would use beeper #3 because "3 is a magic number" until it died on me. (All the beepers quit working on me after a couple days so now I'v pretty much given up on them)
I just wondered if anyone else remembered "Schoolhouse Rock" fondly, as I do.
Heres "Unpack your adjectives" "He was a hairy bear, he was a scary bear...."

I loved Schoolhouse Rock! I still do. I don't remember seeing this one though. I liked how it showed not to judge people by their appearance (the "brainy" & "dumb" guys).
I once had a temporary job at an online high school helping them transfer their courses to a new system. How could I ever forget "Conjunction Junction"? I remember them but I never understood the consepts they were trying to teach. I also hated them because of the terrible animation and I never liked shows where people spontaniously broke into song.

I grew up watching 70s Saturday morning cartoons, so heck yeah I remember Schoolhouse Rock. How can you watch it and not find yourself singing those catchy little songs, and learning something along the way about science, US history, multiplication, and the English language?

I remember it too, and didn't know it was on DVD. My parents restricted us to inside the house and seldom let us go out, so TV was all I had.
I remember a parody Comedy Central did once called "Conspiracy" about the JFK assassination. It was based on the one about how a noun is a "Person Place or Thing." Instead of a "Noun is a person place or thing" the line was "I find it quite hard to believe in the single bullet theory." In school, alot of kids woud answer the question "What is a noun?" with the response "A person, place, or thing."
I walked into a store once and there was a song from Schoolhouse Rock playing, but it was a cover version, then another cover of a Schoolhouse Rock song came on. I wonder if there was a tribute CD released with other artists doing the songs. _________________ PrisonerSix

Yes, I remember Schoolhouse Rock. I use to always watched this while I was watching my Saturday morning cartoons when I was younger. It's a shame that Saturday morning doesn't have that many new cartoons anymore. It's just lots of news shows and other cartoons that are not too likable.
