In Queensland The state has established that systemic, ruthless, public and well known berating and humliating women manager's is 'reasonable' action by managment.

They went on to establish that if an Aspi meltsdown after being exposed to this for 6+ months then it is reasonable for managment to take stronger mesures against the Aspi for displaying their protected attribute.

Examples of statements from my female manager given under oath, regarding me and Jeff(a well knwon ruthless executive manager of the berating type):

D4 P34 L11-12 female manager re: Workplace bullying report against Jeff

I understood it to mean that, you know, David was calling Jeff the bully.

D3 P80 L14-21 female manager re Jeff Robinson

So firstly, workplace bullying and Geoff Robinson, Geoff is a Brisbane-based executive who hired me into the business. He has, I would say, a tough managerial style. He was very wellknown for being a manager who he could sometimes be quite ruthless, quite frankly. We – my team certainly did see me getting on the wrong side of Geoff at times, so they potentially will have seen me under pressure taking some criticism from Geoff at time to time. But, you know, it’s a different thing to talk about workplace bullying. This was out in the open and it was direct,

D3 P80 L35-36 female manager re Jeff Robinson

He – he’s a tough – he’s a tough guy and he’s well-respected and well-known to be that way.

D4 P34 L41-44 female manager re Jeff Robinson

As I said, Jeff’s a tough manager. Jeff is known – is – is – I’m probably making him sound a little comical. But a lot of the technical team, you know, had been berated by Jeff at one point or another, which I suspect is why the reference to bullying is – is mentioned there.

D4 P79 L19-29 femlae manager re Jeff Robinson

COMMISSIONER: What do you mean by coaching?---Jeff had a very blunt way of telling you that you’d done the wrong thing, and I certainly remember, you know, a morning where I’d come in and Jeff was directing my people on a topic that was just so far into the details below an executive level, like, because Jeff enjoyed being around the IT stuff, and he quickly wanted me to stop doing what I was doing which was preparing for a customer meeting, and when I gave him I think a fairly fiery, “No, we’re not doing this now,” he, you know, pulled rank on me and told me that I wasn’t fit to lead with that attitude and my underlings had heard me getting told I wasn’t fit to lead. So this kind of a thing was not unusual, unfortunately. I found it quite difficult, and it’s likely that that kind of conduct is precisely what David would have known about. Certainly - - -

The Queensland state argued and established that the above is reasonable treatment of female staff and her underlings.

D4 P30 L10-11 same manager re management of an Aspi employee

I had reviewed the material and that I could see that he was acting to defend others at his own expense.

D3 P84 L44-46 same manager re management of an Aspi employee

the underlying emphasis that David had was that he – you know, that he would kind of metaphorically take a bullet for people to defend them when he saw injustice and that he came off second best as a result

D3 P84 L2-6 same manager re management of an aspie employee

The information that David provided to me was that he had had colleagues at this past employer who had been bullied or – or unfairly treated and that the narrative he gave me was that he had defended them at his own expense so, like, at the cost of his position I think it was because he – he couldn’t, you know, bear to see them mistreated.

The also found given the above it was in effect unreasnable for me to get upset and meltdown after being exposed to this months of reasonable ruthless and open, direct berating and humilating of staff.

Unfortunitly once the employer's know that The State will defend their right to be ruthless berating managers bullying of men and women this will get worse.

For a bit more please view two youtube video's to show what they know behind closed doors yet still argue is 'reasonable'

I'm too new to post URLs to please go to youtube and watch the following two:

 /watch?v=q9D8tk1cdXU
 /watch?v=mywpKd8XmPw

It's not a case that the authorites don't understand, its a case that the bullies know the state will defend their rights to bully and berate staff.

Thanks for writing this, Kristen. I’m glad you no longer have bullies. The Shins lyrics go “..adults just learn to play the most ridiculous repulsive games,” but I think the games just evolve both from getting away with it in their younger years and history confirming that’s just how Champions behave. Some people do just like to see others scared and suffering, though they might even claim to be helping the person so damaged from adversity, which is really a shame.

Generally I’d say be careful on going to authorities depending on the situation. There’s no guarantee the police will help you I hate to say. Depending on who your bully is they might just close rank and then you have an even bigger problem. Advice for a younger me.

If you can, shut down the bullying in the moment or act unshazed and back away slowly. It’s tricky. If civilization were more civil!

i just got bullied at work and this time I kicked up a fuss. I get late because of my aspie mono-processing. If i am doing something, like going to work, and I get sidetracked, I completely forget what Im supposed to be doing. It makes my fellow workers rightly annoyed, even though I try hard to keep focused.
Anyway, this one particular woman would react by slamming doors and not speaking to me for days, glaring at me when I came in, even though I tried to explain to her about my diffibility. She doesnt believe Ive aspergers. One day she kicked off again so I tried to have the conversation with her about how her actions were affecting me and she went berserk, calling meetings to discuss my problem and leaving sneering comments on Facebook etc. Everyone at work was stand offish at first. It felt like they were siding with the bully. Eventually, I told the boss how uncomfortable this made me and she reassured me. This lady was being branded as a trouble maker. It has calmed down now but it was very real. She shouldn't have been treating me that way. Thats another boundary, another act of self love, Ive put in place. But its hard when you feel like you dont deserve to be treated well after years of put downs and trying to be a perfectionist so no-one can diss you. Its tiring. Now Im officially able to be late for work without being shouted at. And like all my other colleagues say, I make up for it in many other ways and they love having me on the team ! Can you believe it !!!! Phew ! phew !

Agree with this. Find allies - don't allow yourself to be isolated. Bullies thrive on isolating their victim.

I have been bullied through being a mother hen to an autistic boy in a SEN school. They were targeting him and I protected him until they got rid of me.

Bullying seems to be endemic with humans and there are no sanctuaries.

Irony: the boy had been out put in this SEN school because of bullying in mainstream schools.

He was bullied by fellow students and staff. I found the lack of humanity crushing but now have a healthy contempt for SEN special interests as they seem to benefit those employed rather than those they are supposed to help.
