Dear Aspie: Limerick Competition Winners!
GRAND PRIZE:
Aspies are not all the same
We vary from wild to tame
And not all are wishin’
To end the condition-
But couldn’t we PLEASE change the name?

Read on for the place winners!
A big thanks to all the people who submitted! The many good limericks made judging this competition difficult. The following three won out based on humor, originality, and good rhyme. Enjoy!
FIRST PLACE:
(Winner of the autographed copy of Animals in Translation by Dr Temple Grandin)
Aspies are not all the same
We vary from wild to tame
And not all are wishin’
To end the condition-
But couldn’t we PLEASE change the name?

SECOND PLACE:
So I’m one “With my head in the clouds”
An outsider whom stigma enshrouds
I’ll opt for my mind
And be one of a kind:
Better that than “The madness of crowds.”
–By Emettman
THIRD PLACE:
There once was an Autie named Jim
Who’d sit around all day and stim
Rocking and flapping
And random hand clapping
Seemed perfectly normal to him!
