I have another approach to the words "autism" and "autistic". For me it is socio-emotional thing NOT necessarily associated with sensory idiosyncracy and rigid thinking. Autism is for me "not psychotypical", not "not neurotypical".
I would change the name of "autism spectrum disorder" to elliminate words "autism" and "autistic" for me, because "autism" should rather mean a sort of extreme egocentrism or pathological nonconformism, not a complex developmental disability characterised by for example inflexible thinking, deficits in theory of mind and sensory issues.
Aucorigia - autocontrast and originality, "group" of developmental disorders including for example AS, NLD and HFA.
