Is it unreasonable to expect people's rights to take precedent over those of non-people? A baby is a person. A human being. 100% human DNA. This is basic biology. Personhood is a legal concept, not a scientific one. A fetus is not a person. I have yet to hear a compelling argument for why a fetus (...

I'm 51, female and white so I'm a politically incorrect Karen by default. As a kid I heard other kids at school using the N word and later at home I my mom about it, and she said it was very offensive to black people, so I decided never to use that word, ever. On the other hand I feel like we have ...

A fetus is not and never has been considered a legal person.

One's location or place of residence shouldn't matter.

It does when that "place of residence" is a person's flesh.

You can't just handwave that element away, even if it makes your hypothetical ideal unworkable.

None of that is a good argument for denying others bodily autonomy. None of that is a good justification for forcing people to give birth to a child who will die of complications not long after birth or for forcing children to bear children. You're entitled to make whatever choices you feel are best...

Especially when there are modern options to save babies that young, I think it makes perfect sense for folks to be upset at late term abortions. Technology is improving all the time, and younger and younger babies can survive outside the womb. Compassion for our most vulnerable members of society i...

We're kinda like those hippos that die because they pollute their water source with endless waste.

At the very least, we're no brighter than they are.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0T4rQ2sPnk Israel has just made an appalling admission and nobody is listening, the mainstream media are ignoring it & we have to talk about it. Right, so whilst it is so easy to become distracted by the conflict between Israel and Iran, not only because of fear...

The way humans aren't really any different from wild animals. If you clean up after wild animals at the zoo you'd be cleaning up a lot of poop. Humans may not leave their poop behind but they still leave their trash behind. At least animal poop is natural waste rather than plastic. To play devil's ...
