ILikeTrees, the reason why there are a lot of self-dxing adults in the autism community is because getting a dx as an adult is extremely, extremely difficult.

I'm confused by the original poster's wording. The DSM V took out Asperger's Syndrome as a separate diagnosis, and now it's just autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

There are probably a lot of people who are more similar to autistics than they are to NTs but they are considered NTs because they don't fit the sketchy diagnostic criteria for ASDs. To answer the original poster: Perhaps some of the members that post in the game threads are not autistic, but are either another type of neurodivergent, or are mentally ill. WP welcomes said people as well, so that could be a possibility.
