You can get Kindle apps for other tablets (e.g. iPad) and also for your PC. You can view it on Amazon.com but I think it directs you to Amazon.co.uk to buy it. |

I have just self published my first book! It's basically about a road trip I went on across Belgium and the Netherlands. I write from the perspective of what it's like to travel as an autistic woman. I also interview people from those countries about their experiences on the spectrum. The people I f... |

It made me sad that people were not more supportive of your homesickness. It sounds as though you are slipping into a depression and so you need to nip this in the bud quickly. I suggest making a list of the reasons why you are at college and what you are proud/happy about in your life. Look at this... |

Overall I think it sounds really good. I see no huge issues with it. A couple of things I'd suggest though are changing the first paragraph - start off with mentioning your best characteristics and features and don't mention terms like INFJ which the majority of people won't have heard of. Also in t... |

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I didn't expect to get so many :) There have been some really good points. I really like the idea of selling the positive sides of being in a relationship with someone with an ASD and then marketing to NTs also. I will definitely include friendship only/penpal option... |

Hello everyone, I'm setting up a new dating website for people on the autistic spectrum. I wanted to know if anyone has any advice on what would be good to include. I've used dating websites myself and so have some ideas but thought I would get the opinion of more people first. Also what do you thin... |

It doesn't seem to be much of a problem on my own. Only when my partner is involved. |

My sensory issues are totally getting in the way of having sex and causing big problems in my relationship. I can't stand being touched in an intimate way, I can't handle all the smells, tastes and sounds. Even just kissing is too much sensory overload for me at the moment. I can't make eye contact ... |

Like was said before it's misophonia. I suffer from it also. It often happens more with people you are very close to. It causes the person to feel extreme rage. I can't stand hearing my dad eat or my sister to a lesser extent and there are some other noises that bother me also. I don't really get it... |

That sounds very funny! |

I'm glad I'm not the only one :) AardvarkGoodSwimmer - I'm not really sure what you mean. I think you could be right btbnnyr. I suppose it's also to do with noticing small changes, it's just a change in tone of voice. That sounds similar to me Joe90. Funnily enough I find it almost impossible to cha... |

Now I know that many people with ASDs find it hard to recognise changes in tone of voice. I have the complete opposite and wondered if anyone else identifies with this? I am really talking about people I know and whose tone of voice patterns I know. If my fiance says something in a way that I don't ... |

I was in halls in my first year and lived in a student house for my second and third years. I can only talk about my own experience of course. I was lucky that I was in a flat with, what I would call, other oddballs and so I didn't stand out so much. I don't know what I would have done if I had been... |

I am a teacher in the uk and usually parents who wanted to speak to me would do so at the end of the day. I have used communication books in the past, usually with children who have severe special needs (and then they would have an aide who would write in the book) or who are at risk of exclusion. T... |
