Yes- Of course there are poorer people in India. With poverty within a nation it depends on whether you believe in absolute poverty(right wing POV) or relative POV(left wing POV). If you take the right wing POV then compared to 100 years ago even the poor of India are better off than they were. The ...

I'm on disability benefits. I'm poor compared to the average person's income.

I wonder whether you can have global executive functioning difficulties or just specific EF difficulties. The ones that stand out for me are organising and planning and organisation of materials . The latter one was especially evident at school. I struggle with multi step tasks and sequencing. Shift...

I'm confused by this whole thing. I am thinking the same you are. I also find it interesting how Tirol is at a distance of 3 but Bolzano is 12, while Finnish Swede, being least related to either of those, is at 4.2. My fault for not explaining properly. The Bolzano 12 etc is the % which the chromos...

I didn't think he was rude or anything. To be frank I'm really into this stuff, but I get thrown by the regular calls not to take any populations, apart from British isles(which I have a paper trail for),which are given literally. I've done another by chromosome test where for example chromosome 1 w...

I participate on a genealogy dna forum. A member has developed a new DIY calculator. He has also provided a link to a drop down menu where you can choose your forum name and get a map of where your chromosomes are. I inquired whether chromosome 1 was in Poland as the map isn't labelled. The reply fr...

I think a psychiatrist is knowledgeable enough to present a case as to why you should be tested, but it takes someone trained in assessing autism to say 'Yay or nay' as to whether you are on the spectrum.

That's a quick route to getting a personality disorder label if you aggravate the pdoc too much .

I think even with the high functioning people it can still be a disability in terms of a certain degree of social deficits .

With me it was vicious, verbal stuff. Certainly no help and support was given to me.
The opinion of my housemaster was that some children lent themselves to being bullied, as though to dismiss the issue .

An older adult’s low awareness of scams may be an indicator that he or she may receive a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment in the future, according to the results of a study published in Annals of Internal Medicine. Researchers in Chicago asked 935 older adults to comple...

From 8-18 I was at private schools where pupils were of above average or higher intelligence. I was one of the weaker students at maths , very much so because of poor ability at geometry, but still overall better than average. I started well academically , but went academically downhill when the eff...

It's debatable whether I have ASD. It could just be dyspraxia. Having said that if it is ASD I would definitely say it has had a disabling effect on me. I don't function as well as the average person of my intelligence level does. I've read that the term used is 'adaptive functioning'. There are rat...

I've never watched it. It's never appealed to me. I'm more of a crime drama fan.
