CultOfByron, it's not a new test, but it's possible that your assessor didn't use it. It's a fairly major autism test, at least in the US, but it's possible that it's not used as often in other countries.

Pretty neat. I haven't watched "The Good Doctor" (mainly because I'm really tired of the autistic tropes evident in the trailer I saw), but I'll check out this episode.

Long ago, before the update, my age used to display correctly. But when the site changed I noticed that it displayed one year less than my actual age.

Totally agreed with one proviso. Newbies need to know that its a bad idea to become personally involved with this guy. He wont even come right out and say what he wants, which is very un Aspie like behavior. I'm starting to agree with the "Hes a schitzophrenic" hypothesis. Wait, didn't yo...

Thanks for all your feedback! Keep it coming. 8) I interviewed my friend David Finch who served as a consultant for the 2nd season. Would you all be interested if I released that interview on the site? I would be interested to see it. I haven't watched Atypical as I'm not into family dramas and fin...

...The publicity about the rape allegations against Kavanaugh (Say "attempted " if you want to want to be lawyeresque about it because (if it happened) he - maybe - didn't touch the vayjay or ta-tas or JLo balcony) brought it up. Many of Kavanugh"s defenders have adopted the party li...

Agreed. Don't poo poo Jr Colleges. Many are great places to start. I completely agree. I had to leave my original career due to issues related to my nonverbal learning disability, and I retrained at a community college in a new field. I still only have an associate's degree in that field but I've b...

I know this thread is old, but I just got back the results of an assessment. I had been having trouble with work again so I went in for an assessment last winter to see whether I could get some more information and guidance on coping strategies. JUST got the report. Anyway, my ADOS-2 total was 8, wh...

That does sound a lot like a nonverbal learning disability, though NLD has social issues as well- is it possible that you just aren't aware of your problems with social interactions? My social issues (I have NLD) have to do with difficulty with the subtleties of meaning, conversation, and social rul...

This test is bogus. Theres no such thing as being 43% neurotypical or 67% autistic. You're either autistic or neurotypical, you can't be both. If you're neurotypical, then your brain isn't wired differently so technically you're not autistic at all. And if you're autistic, you can't be neurotypical...

45%, about what I expected. I have NVLD after all, and not AS. You are sort of neurotypical, but also show signs of autism. You probably enjoy intellectual activities more than socializing or maybe you enjoy socializing, but you aren't a genius at it. You could be autistic, but may not be. Sounds pr...

I just don't understand why literally every woman I'm attracted to isn't interested in me at all. Then when there is one I like that likes me, they act all weird around me and can never seem to just get comfortable and give me a chance. I had one woman go on dates with me and she just disappeared o...

There was this really sexy woman I saw on the street on the way home from work today and I approached her to flirt. We was being really friendly and complimenting her. I put my arm around her while we walked and she didn't push me away or anything. She didn't seem uncomfortable, but she did seem a ...

If you're lying down or otherwise resting when it happens, when you are also very tired, it actually isn't bizarre. It would be quite normal. If it happens in those cases, then it would be a case of hypnagogic hallucinations , which are not pathological in nature and by themselves cannot be used to...

Getting a GPS was enormously helpful for me. I used to get lost in my own hometown. Now I don't. Boy, can I relate to this. My hometown was less than 2 square miles and I lived there my whole life up until college, but I still couldn't find my way around. My dentist didn't even believe me when I sa...

I have NVLD, and didn't get my driver's license until I was around your age (after four years of hard work on learning to drive). I also cannot find my way around to save my life, although I have gotten a little better over the years. I would be much less independent than I am without a GPS. I am re...
