I've always struggled to relate to others much less the youth. There certainly isn't a lack of overlapping values, references, etc, but being an odd melting pot from many generations makes narrowing things difficult. It isn't impossible to relate to others on an individual level. It may occur more s...

I appreciate the condolences and well wishes, I had to tend to a trip right after the funeral and spent much of last week after I returned helping sift through things. Life has numbed me to many things, I can barely feel or register much, death among them. Though I at least take comfort in knowing t...

Ahoy-hoy John, I'm half your age, but at times the strife I have endured makes me forget my age. I've known many close connections, but I can relate to simply and silently caring for others. I often feel that a great many things go unsaid in life. It is tragic that some of these things never find a ...

I wasn't home for perhaps an hour after work on Wednesday when I received word that my grandmother had passed away. The causes were natural though the circumstances and even the time are not fully clear to us. I arrived to find that she had fallen in her kitchen. A little over a year and another dea...

I can relate to some of these struggles. I've written for years and only earlier this year started to share some of that with people beyond my small knit circle of friends. I'm still trying to grow things, in many regards, but it mainly has been just getting more things presentable and out. I've som...

I never cared for the whiners. Even before I met my wife, I enjoyed doing normal social things, by my standards, and living life. With how much I know of suffering, its always perplexing that people who seem to either suffer the least or who have not known the truth depths of despair are always the ...

Hi. I’m sorry for not replying right away. Your message also felt so genuine — I teared up a little… not in a bad way. More like… a feeling that someone sees me, maybe even understands me — maybe for the first time in my life. It’s like the way you write makes me feel like I’m not out of pl...

Welcome, you are indeed among others who have had or still have similar feelings. I can certainly relate to the feeling of having to manually construct one's own manual for socializing and fitting into the world beyond ourselves. Whatever leaps and bounds we may gain in our special interest or other...

I don't remember his exact comments, the most recent ones, but I always felt that he got shafted by Disney for not using his character better in the sequel films. Him turning around and blaming the fans made me lose any sympathy for him.

You need not thank me, offering aid and consul to others is an obligation of duty, but also a joy to see how others may overcome or resolve their dilemmas. Happiness often favors the youth and fools as both lack the knowledge that weighs many of us down. Though there is something to be said for thos...

I've given thought to entering one. On the site where I publish chapters of my story, they have a Writeathon which challenges people to write 55,555 in 5 weeks. I only got onto the site near the end of the last one, but I might participate in a future one. Back when I started writing I did write twi...

There's no need to apologize for sharing your struggles, it takes more courage than most think to share such things and open up your vulnerabilities. I can relate to a number of your plights, though not all to the same degree, I'm a widower and know a thing or two about the pains of being separated....

Perhaps (and this is only a suggestion) try unburdening yourself (even just a little). Thats work, not the kind of work I do. Though that is related to something funny today at work when we finished up. My senior coworkers were reminding the others of the time I soled a major project that "95%...

As the title states, I've always been a bearer of burdens. Most of the burdens I bear do not originate from myself, but such is a consequence of being overly helpful. I don't consider myself to be the world bearing titan of old though it certainly feels as though I hold burdens from everyone in my l...

It just gets bottled up or used as fuel. One of the few things I hate more than myself is waste. My suffering may be endless, but I see little reason to permit inefficacies.
