All about the bass (if that is the title).

How long can you hold your breath?

Firstly, does anyone else find them relevant? Secondly, would anyone be interested in this if I published it? And thirdly, are there any other philosophers who you find particularly relevant? Didn't go through the thread to see if any of this is covered, but here it is anyway: 1. Could you define r...

Just reading the rest of your post leads me to believe that you are well aware that this is not entirely accurate.

Is there any evidence that criminals become less criminal when they are forced to switch to different clothes? Anyway, it's not that hard to just carry a sock or snow mask around in your pocket that you put on moments before robbing the bank. Suit and tie should be the mandatory public clothing for...

I am sorry that I hold people who obtain 150,000 dollars to make a video series at such a high standard. In principle , I'm right there with you when it comes to holding people to a higher standard, but with me it includes absolutely every single person out there. It's this pesky reality thing that...

I meant them being a minority and mistreated for it is horrible. There have been attacks on churches in Egypt for example. I remember during the rebellion in Mali which started as a Touareg rebellion for independence but was then usurped by Islamists, they murdered Christian priests (not Arabs ther...

There are Christian groups that are somewhat equal to ISIS, mainly the ones in Uganda who push their homophobic views onto everyone and execute people who are gay, lesbian or transgender. Not to mention this started when evangelical Christians in the United States wanted to pass similar laws but we...

And I'll bet you'd start praying if you got into a situation in which you believed your life to be imminently in severe danger. I suspect that's the case with most who declare themselves to be "atheists" although zero of them would admit to it. The make assumptions about 100% of humanity ...

It's obvious that, although she's learned a little from her mistakes, Sarkeesian is incapable of viewing the source material objectively. Just so you know, Sarkeesian is not a video game reviewer; she is a social critic who specializes in video games. Expecting her to be objective is as absurd as e...

Assumptions do have a place in science: at the beginning of the scientific process (not at the end); a direction in which to look.

What do MRAs have to do with this? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are MRAs who support the movement, but GG has nothing to do with men's rights. MRAs have exactly zero to do with this, which is my biggest issue with the whole thing. MRAs have comandeered the issue away from what it was original...

Just out of curiosity, what is your definition of "rational?"

You seem to be dangerously close to a pot and kettle situation here.

You can look up the study if you want to. It isn't any kind of secret. And trying to paint the NEJM as anything other than a credible source does not paint you in the greatest light. No, really, take a hard look at the methodology and tell me it's legit with a straight face, I posted a small sample...

First stop all of the gang shootings and pointing guns at policemen, then we can start talking about so-called "police brutality". So gang shootings and individuals who have pointed guns at cops...is an excuse for them to needlessly do that to citizens who aren't involved in such behavior...
