The biggest issue i've found with fb autism groups is the strong anti NT flavour. It's really unhealthy and anyone who suggests they want to be able to meet the NTs in their life part way to the extent they're able (which I'll admit is complicated, but I want my husband and children to know I'm alw...

As an aside, a lot of those accounts wanting to chat are fake computer programmed accounts that serve as a way to market adult websites and services to people. They are not real people. That is very true. But on this 1 occasion it wasn’t it was an actual person who I think she had a mental disorder...

I think there are some groups out there that are generally alright and are administrated very well. But what concerns me the slight bullying that could happen. Which I am very sensitive to. Also, these people coming on wanting ‘chat’s’ bother me as well. I’m all for chatting with someone but if it m...

When you are working in a shop and you work in a stock room tidying up that you end up inspecting the other person’s tidying up to make sure they have checked everything. Also if you are playing a game of hangman every time it comes to your turn every word you put up just so happens to be convenient...

Something I have done for a long time. I find myself getting hyperactive especially when over-stimulated and need down time. I calm down quickly the minute someone walks in.

I went to a mainstream school with a Special Needs Unit. The name of the Unit was ‘Communication Disorder Provision.’ It was a unit that mainly specialised with Autism. More on the High Functioning. It was ok. We were omitted from some subjects to do ‘Social Skills,’ ‘Communication Skills’ and ‘Life...

I would say I am guilty of all those things listed there. I have done all those things.

Last year I read a school evaluation report about myself from the SE unit I was in and it says that I make comments typical of someone on the Autistic Spectrum!

I don’t get what they meant? Do we have a way of saying things?

Something I find annoying and quite embarrassing about myself. I would be in a situation at work where I would hear a conversation and want to join in so I keep to the subject at hand or what I think is the subject at hand. Then I would say something and I get a puzzling look. Then I think about wha...

The problem with a lot of Sport Commentators and it seems to be common in a lot of sport like Tennis, Motor Sport, British Football, Snooker is another example. The broadcaster hire ex-players to do the commentary and they are not professional broadcasters. I remember when those sports had professio...

I find it very tiring to have conversations with people and also can find it too much to take in what people are saying. I find it more easier to sit quietly and not speak than to have a conversation. I have always been like it. I was told that when I was 3 years old people were concerned because I ...

MrMacPhisto, Some tennis commentators annoy me to death with this kind of chatter. Formula One is the worst offender for that. I love that sport and watch the races but the British Commentators end up talking a load of rubbish. They even go so far to talk about what they (the commentators not the d...
