Waiting until the last minute to hire people is just not right. My boss should have had all the hiring done over the summer. She knew last May that my department is short staffed. She didn't start looking until after school started last month. Other people from other parts of the school have been fi...

People have a habit of hiring people only because of who they are related to or sleeping with. This tends to result in the hiring of people that are not really suited for the job because of lack of experience or qualifications. Other times it results in hiring someone that isn't going to stick aroun...

I was almost 9 years old and I was on my way to school when I heard about the attacks on the radio.

I communicate a lot better with writing. I talk weird and sometimes people don't understand what I'm saying unless I keep it extremely simple. I especially run into this problem with elderly people and people who speak very little English like servers at Mexican restaurants. Other times people just ...

I got picked on a lot growing up too. I used to have a really bad overbite and kids called me all kinds of names because of it. I was always awkward and dorky looking too. I have always looked young for my age. People my age would treat me like a child and talk down to me because they thought I was ...

You make me think of my dad. He didn't really have anyone sitting on his side of the church other than his parents, my mom's aunt and uncle, and one other guy he was friends with. He invited a bunch of people that he thought were his friends, but they didn't come or send gifts or cards. I don't thin...

It sucks when that happens. Keeping in touch with acquaintances and friends is hard especially when you are always the one initiating contact. Another thing that sucks is when you try to reconnect with an old friend but you are practicing different religions than you did when you first met. The othe...

I zone out all the time. I think of it as one of my ways of coping with all the difficult stuff in my life. I will get lost in my thoughts know matter where I am or what I am doing. I got ninja like reflexes when I zone out. If someone throws a ball my way while I'm zoned out , I will catch it or bl...

My showering habits weren't the greatest when I was a teenager. I showered every other night. My clothes always had this sat in the dresser too long smell even though I washed my clothes every week. My parents bought the cheapest laundry detergent they could find. I never liked the way it made my cl...

My grandmother is bipolar. My mother had to live with her unpredictable mood swings.

I am pretty sure I have cyclothymia or bipolar because I have experienced mania with psychosis, hypomania, and depressive episodes. Whatever I have was triggered by sex abuse.

When people ask me what I'm doing over the weekend or what I did over the weekend, I know they won't and don't think much of me because my lack of weekend plans indicate my low social status.

My mom always found the PTA moms to be snobs. The PTA moms would hog up all the volunteer opportunities and then whine about how they had to do everything. My mom always offered to help but they always blew her off. These types of moms were band moms, science research moms, and JROTC moms. My mom's ...

My classmates thought that I was weird when I was growing up. This girl in one of my classes in high school told me that she and some of the other girls thought I was weird. I think most people think of me as weird these days. It shows in how they treat me. People tend to limit their interactions wi...
