I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood (40's) but I loved maps. I would look at maps for hours. Also, the phone book.

I didn't have to take an Ativan before work and I talked to people and got stuff done. I work as a Merchandiser which is nice because it's flexible and I can leave whenever but also overwhelming because crowds. I wear headphones a lot.

I have one child who is NT but was unable to have more. I didn't know at the time when I had her that I was on the spectrum. I'm glad now that I only have one.

I got my new shoulder sling bag today for my trip cross county at Christmas. It's like a giant fanny pack over the shoulder and amazingly efficient. It will hold my devices, chargers, ID, etc and make my travels much less stressful.

I've had it since childhood. That sucked as a kid. I have intrusive thoughts and have to complete certain rituals or else I'm afraid something bad will happen.

I've never felt normal but I started to suspect something when I hit perimenopause. I feel crazy frequently. Things got so much worse. It's what made me seek out a diagnosis. Looking back on my life Aspergers explains everything.
