I've yet to see any of the sequels, but I too consider Re-Animator to be a classic. Have you seen From Beyond (1986)? If not, it is from the same director, and it also stars Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton. Substitute zombies with extra-dimensional monsters.. It is my favorite Stuart Gordon film ...

Personally, I have always found the show to be one-note, shallow and soulless. Like fast food, too much filler and not enough substance. Compared to the real-life mafiosos of Goodfellas and Casino , Tony and his peers were caricatures who, for the most part, remained static all throughout the series...

Quark and his misadventures were the highlight of the show for me. Garak comes in at second...

We never got to see much of the real Garak. He mostly hemmed clothing and was only occasionally called upon to get his hands dirty (e.g., "In the Pale Moonlight").

If you cut off at 1998 you're missing out on Perfect Dark and Conquer's Bar Day. True. However, by that year I was too busy playing Akuji the Heartless , Apocalypse , Blood Omen , Final Fantasy 7 , Metal Gear Solid , the Resident Evil series, Tenchu , the Twisted Metal series, and a bunch of other ...

In my opinion, it was a promising console for the first two years until it started to nosedive around 1998. Developers tried to squeeze too much out of the technology instead of following the example set by Super Mario 64 , with it's simple color palette. Wave Race 64 wowed me with it's water physic...

Personally, I never really got into the Mario Kart games. They were decent, don't get me wrong, but I was more into stuff like Top Gear 3000 (which had some very trippy backdrops, as you were racing on alien planets).

That and, as far as I can tell, any passage in the bible about God 'speaking' creation into existence really puts us in a place of pantheism. To be honest, I wouldn't know since I've never been able to stomach reading any more than a few pages. Though I will say that I find pantheism to be of great...

Putting aside the fact that the Abrahamic religions are useful among sociopaths and the detestable to justify their own abhorrent behaviors, and that they are likewise used to exploit weak and easily impressionable individuals, I have yet to hear a satisfactory answer to the inherent paradox of &quo...

The pangs of mid-life crisis. I ponder my mortality every day... I would suggest to try and stop lamenting over that which could've been and to simply live your life, to focus on your goals and to count your blessings. To find contentment. Because it could all end at any moment; it goes without sayi...

The whole "Rambo" idea was WAY too prevalent, and your characters ability to kick the everloving crap out of EVERYTHING was just... too strong. To me, in that game, YOU were the monster. All the forces of Hell couldnt stop you. Despite his proficiency in combat, your character lacks the a...

Casual sex with strangers isn't for me. My sexuality is centered around oral activities, and I require some measure of assurance that a potential partner is reasonably disease-free before I hop into the sack with them. They must also have their head screwed on properly... Not too long ago, I was lur...
