I just know there's a lot of weird buzz, everything from Apple talking about pulling Twitter from the app store to talks of Twitter bankruptcy. Considering the current political climate I'm not going to buy into any of it until it actually happens. Also glad I never used Twitter - the character limi...

The US government recieved criticism for printing too much money and bailing out loads of banks & industries. So how is the dollar strong now? First - depends whose criticism. What's clarified is if we're the world reserve currency we had much more headroom for QE than any other country precise...

It's a positive feedback loop scenario. It's not guaranteed but it sounds like they've found some parameters where they're concerned that contagion is a realistic enough risk that it needs to be out there in the public imagination with a name that makes it at least available to be 'household' vocabu...

A few thoughts on what you wrote: 1) It sounds like higher education is largely the same in most places and what you said about getting degrees but not being able to apply them to finding meaningful work - that's a common problem in the US as well, add people taking out huge student loans over here ...

Tidy six minute presentation on the Dollar Milkshake Theory. For those not familiar with the term - its the idea that the US dollar, being current world reserve currency and belonging to only one country, could see a situation where the USD strengthens so much that it sends most countries in the wor...

You might not like his acting and you don't have to. But underneath the actor is a real person. His real charactor could be totally different to how he is seen in the films. Please allow some respect for that. From what I understand of Seagal the characters he plays are 2/3's him. I don't know if h...

I'm of that age where I know him and Jean-Claude Van Damme from loads of 80's action movies. After having spent over a decade in an Inosanto blend of arts (really Kali, Arnis, Wingchun, Kuntao/Silat, some JKD sets) I think the thing he did which was unusual was that he actually made Aikido look real...

Also what do you think about Appalachian Folk Magic? I think my great grandmother was into it but I never got to know her because she passed away when I was only 8 years old. But i hear stories about her that makes me think she was a witch too, but like many of the old wise women of the mountains w...
