If it’s a means of seduction, it could possibly be effective on someone who is credulous/trusting for whatever reason. I don’t know.

Maybe seeking guidance from a counselor who knows them both would be a good idea before being alone together in a hotel room.

Why? Many people will never be able to afford their own home for any number of reasons. It doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t be a great match.
