Yeah, but there’s a bit of a difference between staring at someone’s hand, for example, and staring at someone’s breasts.

I don’t think anyone here would deny that people of any gender can be creepy.

And it's not because we don't do it It’s true that women do it, but I’m not sure if they do it as often given power dynamics and socialized gender norms. I’ve never experienced creepy behavior from a woman although I would refer to it as such if I did. I grew up in an environment where the onus was...

I’m doubtful that the main problem is horniness. My abusive ex admitted that, for him, it was about power and control. Maybe it gives people an ego boost to trample on others that way.

^^ Yeah, I think it was cruelty. Those messages certainly threw me for a loop even though I’m fairly use to sh***y behavior online at this point. If it was just one person, it would be easier to write off as a troll, but I keep on seeing or experiencing different levels of misogynistic rhetoric/beha...

I think there are online spaces that promote misandry, but they are less influential and appear to be more of a response to online misogyny/the sort of behavior I was demonstrating than anything else. So the problem is, basically, male lust? Plus, a few drunk or overexcited females? I don’t think p...

I wasn’t really thinking about Christianity with that post but Christian nationalism. It’s extremely powerful and influential but many Christians here don’t buy into it.

I could see myself wearing it in certain contexts as a joke, but yeah, I think Christian nationalism is America’s biggest threat.

The connotation that goes along with the word “creep” typically involves much more than just an “unpleasant person.” It often suggests someone who engages in borderline sexually harassing behavior (or worse). If someone is staring at my chest without my permission, I will consider them a creep no ma...
