I grew up in a religion that had rigid views of gender roles and clearcut, separate expectations for men and women.
Yes, it offends me. I don’t think that religion should be above scrutiny. Nothing should be. |

| I think people don’t worry too much about it because they don’t see it directly. Most people try not to think about it. Most people also try not to think about the deplorable living conditions of the animals that are raised for consumption. |

I wouldn’t mind dating a trumpeter who plays in an orchestra (but not in my ear!).
OP, do you or have you played the trumpet in an orchestra? 
Having an interesting hobby (other than trying to “get a girlfriend”) helps make a person more interesting. |
