Right of Way is often used in the context of travelling on the road. Yes, in a sense if you have an appointment and someone else is causing an issue then it should be the issue causer that moves their appointment. [e.g. if, for instance, the person was abusive or rude to another person attending the...

You don't even need to say anything..... there is a chat function in zoom.

Mute the mike, type it into the chat that "the phone is ringing, I'll have to go" and then leave.

I would possibly do that if it was offered to me, as it might be helpful if I got stopped by the police or something. I'm not that worried about potential employers not wanting to hire me because of it. I've often wondered whether it would be worth having some kind of printed card in the car that (...

The way I interpreted the thread title was thus: If I know that I am going to have a "difficult conversation with someone" do I go over it for days before hand; yes. If I have had a difficult conversation, or one the highlights my difficulties will I then review it afterwards over and over...

Yes.

Mute helps or non-commercial radio (hard to find, I know).

I had to quit a job because of a radio playing - over a tannoy system I might add.....

Like MG says:

Check electrical devices (TV, DVD player, receiver boxes (freeview/sky etc)). Fridges, and heaters if you've got them.

If you've near neighbours it could be something they are putting on late at night, washing machine or something.

Failing that it is probably a hearing issue.

Somebody who owns their own business could be working 70 hours a week and not getting the equivelent of the minimum wage. They will have masses of paperwork to fill in, including all their tax returns. They will also be responsible for all of the people they might employ. Hiring and firing, and all ...

I think you've just got enthusiastic about a new project or special interest.

Having something new to do - and getting outside for a bit has given you a lift.

Being more serious now, I do feel at the moment in most the UK if you be sensible and keep the 2m gap between yourself and others then it should be OK. A caveat to that is that you are also relying on others to keep 2m from yourself. It is a delicate balancing act between the fairly small risk of ca...

It is a very tricky situation and it isn't just you that are feeling this way. I wouldn't want to go anywhere near shops that are likely to be busy - the only place I've been is the post office to post a few parcels. Nobody should feel pressurised into doing anything they don't feel comfortable doin...

My old works used to organise trips to see a psychic - you know as in an evenings "entertainment".

Anyway it always puzzled me that if you wanted to go you had to put your name on a list.......

I mean, surely the psychic knows who is going to be there. :? :?

I like to think I am a positive person - I try and see the positive side to people and let any foibles they may have ride. Saying that though part of my humour is seeing the flaws in situations and in other people (but I try and keep those to myself). So for instance people would ask why I didn't wa...

The days do seem to be slipping by very quickly, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an end in sight so it is seeming to drag like anything.

I've been off work two months now. Or 9 weeks and five days. Or 68 days.
