I actually have an outfit that looks almost exactly like that in my wardrobe. Alas, no dates planned for the near future. I still like to dress up though anyway. 8)

I can't really avoid it. I live rural and strangers are always wanting to make conversation. However, I know that loneliness is a big issue and most folks that want to talk just want someone who'll listen. So I don't mind it too much. Sometimes I find out something interesting. I've heard some tales...

One time I found a t-shirt that was (supposedly) my size but I yawned and stretched and it just disintegrated. Completely ripped down the back. Beautiful design. A shame really. It was a loose fit but I guess it just couldn't take the might of my lanky arms. :P

I have another interview.

I grow tired of interviews at this point. Please be the one that works out.

I like the Welsh dragon. No maidens in that story though (that I'm aware of). https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/cC4AAOSwxQha~BPi/s-l960.webp The story goes that there was a white dragon (representing the English) and a red dragon (representing the Welsh). Miss Llywelyn added: "Compared to other na...

I don't think they have feelings in the traditional sense. However, they do seem to have an awareness that we don't fully understand yet. It's kind of fascinating how trees never seem to invade each other's space in a clearing. Poisonous plants are also interesting to consider. There's a plant that ...

I don't know if this belongs here, but it's been really odd getting used to the idea of non-toxic workplaces. Interviewers ask about my workload and look absolutely horrified when I'm honest. "Sorry, they made one person do all of that?" It's also been strange getting used to being allowed...

Bad news about that second interview. I was seeing some red flags with the company, so I asked my friends. One of my friends had dealt with them before. Told me that I should avoid them and to cancel the interview. Showed me some concerning messages. Turns out it's one of those postings where the ac...

Your mileage may vary a bit with this one. My teenage years weren't easy. I was physically bullied, had some chants spread about me, was spat at and called disgusting. I did mask in a sense that I had a fake boyfriend who was also gay. Unfortunately, the thing about fake relationships... is that you...

Well. What could have gone wrong did indeed go very wrong. Frankly the events of that first interview could have easily been a sitcom. Especially when the train broke down and started angrily beeping. Ah. What a day. I'm not even upset. That was just downright comical. https://encrypted-tbn0.g...

Talking to people outside your social circle can be difficult because ultimately you need a way to strike up conversation. Especially in clubs where the music is loud and you can't hear each other. Bars are easier since they tend to have quieter music. Even then though... *internal screaming* I reme...

It's interesting to me that in almost all of the short stories I have written, I have done so from the point of view of a male narrator and protagonist. There are a couple of exceptions though. The story I'm working on atm has a female protagonist.

When I create characters, I assign a colour to them as a shorthand for personality on a superficial level. I use it as a starting point. This tends to influence initial sketches of their clothing but I later branch out to using different colours. However, I'll still keep an item of their assigned co...
