You have a good point. It does address fairly hardcore otaku, though. Not everyone has to go hardcore, nor does anyone alone get to define it. Yeah back when Genshiken began, society in general still kept otaku culture at arms length. Gradually we've reached the point where it's almost universally ...

My all time favorite series is Genshiken. I think anyone who claims to be an otaku should see that show.

Teacher's Pet - Speaking of Doris Day and being too old for the part - O.M.G, Clark Gable as a romantic interest for Doris Day!? EeEeEEeWw, gross!! I mean, Doris was always playing younger than we KNEW she really was, but damn. Still, the comedy works, though only as far as any Doris Day romantic c...

Yes I have a very good sense of humor. People even seek me out because of it. One thing I notice though is that I tend to emulate the style and copy the jokes of whatever comedian I've been watching. Also my silliness is a bit of a coping mechanism to make up for the fact that I can't socialize well...

At first I did not like it. It seemed too stereotyped and cheesy. But I finally started to like it. I felt sorry for Julia and I wished there had been more closure between her and Sam's family. I wish they knew that Sam caused her relationship to unravel. I could relate to certain aspects of Sam's n...

Even though I practiced some in my teens, I didn't get my license until I was 21. My family always went everywhere together so there really wasn't ever a need for me to drive my own car. But as I got older and got my own job, I needed to drive myself places. And I hated people asking me when I was g...

Sometimes it's easier to talk about someone to someone else than to confront the person in question. It's not right, but it's easier. Is this person NT? He may not have the heart to tell you to your face whatever the issue is. Maybe you can get you other friend to tell you what's on his mind.

The Bible mentions many gods. But only one is recognized as the true God in connection with the Abrahamic covenant. The Bible highlights the futility of other so called gods: Jeremiah 10:2-6- "Jehovah says:“Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens...
