When is there going to be a Wrong Planet app in the app store or google play store? I think that would be a really good idea and also bring in more participants. Is it ever on the horizon?

I've introduced myself before but didn't get as many responses in my quest to make new friends as I would have liked. So I will try one more time. My name is Emily, I am a 34 year old female from Saint Paul, MN. I was diagnosed with autism when I was 24 and I currently see a therapist from the autis...

The best way I've found to make friends online is to just be yourself and be honest and open. I am on here to make new friends too, so feel free to PM me if you would like to talk. My name is Emily, I'm 34 from MN.

You can’t commit suicide over this. No person is worth that. You will find new love you just have to be patient. I haven’t dated since 2011 so I know something about being patient. Please don’t kill yourself over this. PM me if you’re interested in talking.

Hello- One thing I’ve learned (others may disagree) is that people feel like you’re not listening to them or paying attention if you’re not looking at them. When the situation calls for it, I will just say “hey I’m listening. I have autism so it’s hard for me to look people in the eye.” It doesn’t h...

To those of you who welcomed me, thank you. I am aware that there are groups held by the autism society and I have gone to them off and on since 2012. I think I am allowed to make friends through any venue that allows me to, and I appreciate the words of caution but don’t appreciate being told to go...

Thank you. Yes I am fully aware that people with autism find small talk difficult. I was diagnosed when I was 24 and I'm not good at small talk either. If that's what you think my post was, it was more of an introduction w/ facts about myself. I guess seeing as we are all different, we may all have ...

Hi, my name is Emily and I'm a 34/f from MN. I have a very small social support network where I live because I am not good at developing friendships with new people. However, I'm not giving up. I'd like to meet others on the Autism Spectrum but they don't have to be. I want to meet someone I can be ...

Hi-I know how you feel. I quit Twitter the same day I joined because I was embarrassed that I only had one follower. I periodically deactivate my facebook account. You didn't elaborate much beyond "not fitting in." Actually you do, in a way, because millions of people feel they don't fit i...

This was my reply on a similar topic and I would say the same thing here, so here it is: I find people are usually respectful, in terms of manners and etiquette especially now im in my 30’s. However I do agree I’ve met More than my fair share of narcissists who love to talk about themselves. General...

“Many people are not so good with the respect-thing, they prefer to talk about themselves if they can. I often thought it was because they didn´t know better, but I actually think it´s because they simply love to hear their own voice. It sounds lovely that you do have people that respect you and eve...

I have been advised to post something more, not just say I’m looking for people to talk to and PM me. I will give this a shot but I have posted lengthy posts before and not gotten much of a response. I noticed that there are several posts by people lamenting the difficulty they have developing and m...

Yes, that sounds somewhat similar to me. Social etiquette in situations like a job interview is definitely not easy to master for us/me with AS. If you would like to talk further, please message me. I am trying to find people to talk to and no one has replied to my post unfortunately. Btw, I just to...

Hi I'm Emily and I'm having trouble finding people to talk to on here. I read several posts by people claiming they don't know how to make friends. I would really like someone to talk to. Technically you can change your weight. My chest got bigger when I gained several pounds although I'd rather be slimmer with a smaller chest. I've found that many (not all) guys decide they want to know a girl better if they want to get in her pants. Obviously, I haven't had the greatest experiences...
