I think I am amazingly creative as a musician and I find songs are the only way I can express my feelings in a good way.

I met with a clinical psychologist yesterday through work and raised how to be more effective with autism. One of the things she told me is that hypersensitivity, through exposure to external stimuli, propels you to express yourself verbally as a reaction. I guess the reaction can also be physical. ...

I was diagnosed last year. I am very near the spectrum limit but there isn’t any doubt I’m autistic.

However I cannot explain it for the life of me. Whenever I try people normally say that they are also like that...or this happens to everyone. It’s making me doubt myself very much.

Is anyone doing a keto diet? I’ve been on it three weeks now. I do feel slightly better but god it’s tough to organize, especially with two young kids. It’s pricey as well.

Oh yeah, I miss bread.

Anyone doing this and do they have any tips?

Hi lovely people

Does anyone have links to research on coroporal sensory perception? I know we mostly think of visual and auditory issues in autism but I’m wondering if there’s anything related to the rest of the body as well?

Thanks!

I do feel silly, when people point out the positive side and it had never even occurred to me. So better than asking why or wondering when it will end, I’ll try to enjoy it (try). Many thanks to you both

Reposting here because I placed it in the wrong section... Hi all I’ve just been told by a colleague at work that my boss has arranged a surprise party for me to celebrate my ten-year work anniversary. My colleague knows about my autism so is obviously being kind. I feel like crying. Apparently seni...

Hi all

I had flu for the first week of January with a fever that lasted six days. I’m still not right two weeks later...is this normal? I no longer have fever but I feel very out of sorts with a bit of dizziness from time to time.

Thanks

How do we deal with stress? I understand we all need a little but for me it can be overwhelming. I’m talking about trying to anticipate and manage it, rather than taking myself off alone or having to shut up the bodily shop to get through. Mine mostly related to having a hectic life with family and ...
