OK he got another third of it washed up but only because I stayed there watching to make sure he did it.
But then he said he needed a glass of water and departed.

I guess I'll have to go remind him to do the last third shortly.

Task Initiation, Executive Functioning, and Autistic Inertia Accommodations Perhaps the most basic and useful accommodation that can be sought is prompting. Prompting is exactly what it sounds like: giving a prompt in some form as a way of helping someone to move onto another task. This could be an...

So I was wondering if this sounds like an AS executive function problem? Or something else? Just hoping for the thoughts of those with EF issues. If forgetfulness (as Edna3362 asked)...I find visual cues help me to remember to do something. For instance: ► I take all my pills in the morning (I'm ol...

So I was wondering if this sounds like an AS executive function problem? Or something else? Just hoping for the thoughts of those with EF issues. It could be, it could also be other things, e.g. ADHD forgetfulness. Your best bet would be to ask your son why he does it, but not in a dressing down wa...

Depends. Was it preferences or perceived value on the task? Was it personality? Was it basically just moodiness? Boring, too 'obligating', too annoying... Was it forgetfulness? It can range from apathy, exhaustion, hyperfocus to something else like hormones. Or poor acquisition of habits. Likely AD...

I have a question, it's a little bit off topic. (My executive functioning is passable so I can't personally relate very well). But my 21 year old aspie son is having huge issues with procrastination and not doing the things he is supposed to be doing. This ranges from washing up the dishes (says he ...

Well, everybody's needs are different. But this is what is currently working for me, after a few years of trial and error, and trying to find options with the least side effects or withdrawal issues: 1. Ketogenic diet . (very low carb-high fat diet. No grains, no added sugar, no processed food, limi...

I can't see the coloboma in her eye, even on the photo she claims shows it.
If that's not there, she can't be Madeleine.

I take CBD oil as well. That also affects the balance of excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters.
But maybe more by reducing gultamate than increasing GABA.
Seems they haven't done enough studies yet. And the doses used in studies tend to be about 10x what you can get prescribed anyway.

That is why I'm currently on the ketogenic diet. If you can get and stay in ketosis, with your brain / nervous system running on ketones, that leads to more glutamate being converted to GABA which dampens down brain excitation. Supposedly. Actually, there aren't many studies yet, but it does seem to...

I also have worst issues around November to January, but that's summer here.
It may be the combination of christmas and all the expectations which go along with that, and the heat and humidity we get here.

Oh this is heartbreaking, I feel for you. Now there are two possibilities with what's going on with your wife, either she's an as*hole or an aspie. I'm going to assume you're correct and she's an aspie and respond accordingly. I would say she wants to sleep with other people Not necessarily. Speakin...
