The high rates of autism in Somalian immigrants is one of the observations behind my hypothesis about transgenerational trauma. As the mothers of the autistic children would have suffered a great deal of stress over conflict and relocation to another country. https://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic...

This goes for me, too.
I'm pretty sure I have auditory processing issues.

It's hard to say what the cause is, but I agree that she might benefit from CBT.

Does she have insight into the irrational nature of some of these beliefs?
If she has no insight it will be harder to break out of them, I think.

I voted no, Sweden hasn't done much fighting in the last few hundred years. I do have an ancestor fought in the Thirty Years' War. He was a captain at the battle of Lützen, 1632. I got many priests way, way back on my aspie side of the family. One priest traced our family back to the 10th century. ...

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, that is really interesting and helpful. Do you mind if I ask some more questions? I do think that some of the information I have read on stigma may be out of date, and things may be changing rapidly, and your reply suggests that may be so. One thing I ...

Generational trauma isn’t real.

You seem very certain of that. How can you be sure?

To clarify, I'm not saying people can inherit PTSD. It's more about inheriting epigentic changes that get switched on by PTSD.

If he feels there is pressure on him to go, he may feel too much anxiety and be unable. Then, after you've g...

Alternatively, not knowing you are neurodivergent, they were trying to assure you that you are not.
In case you were worried that you were.
Which you are.
See? Even I'm getting confused. :?

I've put myself on a liquid diet to try and clear up gut issues.
Lots of broth from meat and veggies, some fruit juice, milk.
I hadn't intended including milk but got so hungry.
I think this kind of diet is only OK for 3-5 days max. as it doesn't provide enough nutrients. Bit of a last resort.

I looked up about pogroms and we can count those. Displacement due to violence.
It's shocking how much hatred there was towards Jews for such a long time.

I hadn't really thought about Chernobyl. Were your family in the fall-out area?
I think the radiation blew westwards (?)
