Sep 6, 2023 The Heritage Foundation and dozens of other right-wing interest groups have aligned to create a 920-page document intended to guide the next Republican president in his first 180-days in office. It’s called Project 2025, and it aims to drastically expand executive power, dismantle the a...

I'd love to build a flying saucer. And then dress up into something that would make me look like a complete space alien. None of these humanoid trash -- if you see a humanoid space alien, it isn't a space alien -- just a second rate tv producer's idea of a space alien. Alternatively, dress up like a...

Someone suggested yesterday that if you have the space, a walk in refrigerator and a walk in freezer would be great. Basically you use plenty of insulation (at least R-25) around the room and have an external source of cold air. Many people apparently use slightly modified air conditioners to cool t...

Remember that old TV show hosted by Art Linkletter and Bill Cosby?

The original was a segment on Art Linkletter's show, House Party. I don't think that Cosby had anything to do with it at that time.

Yes, there is evidence to show that the more light humans sleep with, the less their brains get to rest and recharge. It's only recently that we've had lights on at night e.g. streetlamps. Probably 200 years or so? Before then it was dark at night apart from the moon and stars. We need the dark to ...

I had a dream in which case I had a need to fly a helicopter for very short flights. Something about flying up and hoveing over something to take pictures and then returning again. In the dream, I had very minimum instruction and no license. In addition to that, the helicopter belonged to a company ...

One thing I do is eat very slowly. One time my niece was here as well as a few others on my birthday. We started eating at the same time. When she finished, she ran off to run some errands that she had to run that day. When she got back something like 45 minutes later, I was just finishing eating w...

I consider the idea of defunding the police a very stupid thing to do, in general, unless you want to increase crime levels. If you want to defund the police where you live, have at it, but don't expect us to applaud you for the craziness. I tend to agree with you. Whilst the police are far from pe...

I also generally want bright lines to eat. However, that is because I almost always read while I eat. I wouldn't know what to do without a book, magazine, or a laptop to read. In another forum, someone once posted about when they were a kid and they went to stay at a friend's house for a sleepover....

Yes I'm not a fan of lying on beaches and going on holiday to hot countries with constant sun. I like temperate climates. Plus my skin is paper white and I have freckles, so I only burn in the sun, so why bother! Quite odd: my hair is nearly black but my skin is nearly white! About five...

My diet is probably leaning towards being of poor quality, although not excessively so. I don't like or eat veggies, that is the biggest issue I have. And I eat too much junk food. I realise the risks but I seem to put enjoyment before being sensible a lot of the time. In the early 1990's, I starte...

I generally prefer it to be very bright for reading, quite bright for cooking (mainly to better slice ingredients and to check the food while cooking, and fairly dim the rest of the time. That got me to wondering what it would be like to change your house lighting to use lights that are overall abou...

How about not trusting someone that we should definitely not trust?

Trump, for instance. I have never considered him to be the least bit trustworthy.

I eat what I want, when I want. I tend to go on jags where I will eat the same thing over and over until I get focused on something else. I also seem to know what may be digestively problematic later. Luckily, I like most foods if not textures. One thing I have to be careful of is eating the correc...
