Never thought about that before. Oil floats on water. Ergo its lighter than water. Ergo something else that floats on water isnt necessarily gonna float on oil. So ofcourse it would be easier to drown in oil than in water. =========================== Gosh. Call your brother up and wish him a merry ... |

I had what had to be the worst dream of my life the other night. While my dreams are nearly all very pleasant, this dream really shook me up. First of all, I've always been closer to my younger brother than to anyone else, even my parents and my past girlfriends. I remember being in a play pen as a ... |

Retirement -- What to do? Farm-work. Hiking. Exploring the jungle out back. Playing music with my neighbors. Writing my memoirs. Et Cetera. I will probably spend the summer mornings gardening. We have it a little easier than most, though -- hook a plow to the tractor and plow the garden with i... |

I retired early and have lots of hobbies. The problem is that they can be expensive and that I get bored with them after a few months or years having spent a small fortune on them. I think this may be a typical problem as Aspies tend to have special interests that last for X amount of time, then we... |

While I would love to keep working until the day before I turn 100, that isn't feasible. Everything tells me that I'll have to retire by the time I'm 70 because of the government's socialistic support for my competitors giving them an enormous competitive advantage over my company. They never could ... |

One of my occasionally recurring dreams involves civilizations millions of years in the future. Usually, mankind has died out and then individual humans were brought from the past to populate a new civilization in the future. I had such a dream the other day that was to some degree reminiscent of th... |

Warmer air is more able to carry more water vapor. A warmer climate will result, overall, in more rain, not less. In specific cases, shifts in weather patterns might reduce rain in some areas, but in other areas, it can increase rain. During the Holocene Climatic Optimum with temperatures somewhat h... |

I never thought it was all until I learned about Prosopagnosia and how it is often found among the Autistic. Then one day, the son of someone I knew came by the office and while talking, he asked me if I'm Autistic. I normally wouldn't have even considered the question, but his job was working with ... |

I don't know if this is related to aphantasia, but I don't have much of a recollection of what was discussed in a meeting. At one company where I worked, the president of the company would go on a business trip and when he returned, he could describe every meeting and what was discussed in the meeti... |

I had a really pleasant dream yesterday. In the dream, I had retired to Molokai in Hawaii and had a sailboat that I used to go to other islands. I had sailed to Honolulu for the day and was coming back that night. Since I'm colorblind, I cannot distinguish the colors of the lights on the buoys marki... |

I had a very strange dream yesterday. The dream was about video games which is odd since I don't play them. In the dream, there was a very popular set of computer games about some creatures from other planets around other stars. The creatures were not humanoid, but did possess the abilities to work ... |

i hope today's treatments for polio are more than the iron lung. Polio is nearly always very minor. Only a tiny portion of cases would require an iron lung. Before the vaccine, polio was so common that just about everyone would have it by the time they were 6 or 7 years old. In the vast majority of... |

Not really a weird dream, but I just woke up from a dream (someone called on the phone) in which I hosted an annual trap shoot on the farm. It was known as "Old Trophy Day Trap Shoot". It had an adult division, an under 18 division, and a black powder shotgun division. There were five trop... |

I do, however, like to listen to the radio, too, which I assume would be considered being entertained by others. Unless it's a two-way radio I think it's still entertaining yourself. Just as reading is entertaining yourself even though there was an author involved. I'm kind of in the middle on this... |
