Mental Aikido, and Aikido for self-defense. Best to develop that sixth-sense to avoid unfavorable situations in the first place!

I've noticed lately that people say "I'll burn that bridge when I get to it", instead of the original saying that goes "I'll cross that bridge when I get to it". It must be because humans are so hard wired to be violent and destructive, burning a bridge sounds a lot better than ...

Actually, I've been more concerned about mice than snakes lately - mice are prey for snakes. A few months ago, I had mice in my living-space - this appears to have been largely resolved via pest control services, and blocking more and more points were rodents have entered (and hopefully exited). The...

Read the book (and its sequels), saw the movie (and its sequel). Clarke and Kubrick got it all wrong. • Pan-Am (Pan-American Airlines) ceased operation in 1991 -- ten years before the book's/movie's setting. • Truly sentient artificial intelligence has yet to be achieved -- 20+ years after the book...

Any thoughts on wearing socks (or not wearing socks) with slippers? I always wear socks when I'm wearing slippers, simply because I like my feet to be warm and socks are a good start towards that goal. Plus, my feet don't like the feel of some slippers, so the socks act as a buffer against sensory ...

Here in Calif. more and more wildflowers are blooming after ample Winter rains. It's uncommon (and hence worth a photograph) to find the orange California Poppies blooming with purple, yellow, and white flowers blooming within a ten square-foot land area.
