This is the first day of the rest of your life, Indominus. B-But I haven't finished graduating yet. Also, first day of what? These comments are incredible, OP, and I think they'll be worth re-reading many times over. Mind if I copy them to Word? It's very emblematic of the human condition--very wel...

What you're going through is life in a nutshell. Parents tend to "grow cold" towards their college-aged kids, unfortunately. Though, sometimes, parents remain loving. It's no reflection on you----it's because you're getting older and they want you to become more independent. Another thing...

And if that's not all, I'm starting to notice the patterns between my parents. With my mother growing cold and distant and my Dad tuning himself out.

In addition, My Dell's springing out from the bottom left side so this is going to be much harder to deal with than before.

Needless to Say... I've been having a very hard time these past few weeks so I'm sorry if I'm scattered and loose. This week has hit me the hardest since I've just been done with the holiday weekend and since I've been busy unloading boxes and tagging supplies to stock them out on the shelves. But s...

I plan to go to the library today to spend my day there. The weather's been warming up and it's been a month since I've been back. It would've been better for me to go earlier, but I was getting in the habit of getting ready to work (and I still haven't worked yet since the bookstore is going throug...

Stony Brook used to have a reputation as a “party school.” "Used to", but given its focus on research and how its either that or New Paltz, which had recently gone through a murder investigation over a student's mother or something, I wouldn't take my chances anyway. Still, I don't know i...

You will have a career soon. When did you graduate? I'm not graduating yet as I still have a ways to go. Once I finish up at community college, I'll only be halfway done and I have to transfer first after the fall. Probably at Stony Brook, though they've said to contact the special help desk to fig...

I feel that I am and my actions are largely insignificant compared to my family. They have these lush social lives and even have a life outside of their own work. My sister, father, and mother, all have people to lean on while I have nothing.

I should probably split this into multiple threads since it covers a wide variety of topics, but I digress, especially since I rarely ever post here since I feel as though I don't have much to say. Plus, mentioning everything in short bursts rarely ever pieces everything together so it's better for ...

Does your mother treat you badly? I don't know. Before I graduated high school, everything just seemed bad. I remember one post that I made that someone said that I was old enough babysit my sister by 14 or 15, rather than have almost 2 dozen babysitters (latter second of them being mainly drivers,...

Ive read that other people on this site prefer to be alone to avoid termoil from other people. Most people I find it hard to be around. I keep my hopes up that I might find a boyfriend I can tolerate. All my past boyfriends were disrespectful to me in some way. I dont know why. Maybe because I have...

Refer to this thread to understand the basis of my story: https://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=372945 Honestly, after giving it the run down, I've realized that after last year, between my dad's affair, having a hard time with people on the internet, getting fired for the first time, being...
