As long as I have been here very successful people saying they are autistic are doubted in part because “something would have been picked up”. Here on WP younger members often implied older members are not autistic for that reason. That was very much resented. How Bill Gates knew he was different B... |

NT Hollywood & media is only interested in superpowers, a kind of myth born out of hyper focus but doesnt necessarily translate into a "superpower" Take the "superpower" away and they soon get bored. Its strange as autism is so common now, nearly every NT knows someone dealin... |

Researchers: No link between maternal health during pregnancy, autism A mom's health during pregnancy is not likely to influence her child's risk of autism, a new study argues. Many previous studies have reported such a link, but researchers say nearly all these associations can be explained by oth... |

He never said he was autistic He just made a casual assumption that he may have been diagnosed if born today Maybe he would maybe he wouldn’t Not much different from the “we’re all a little autistic” you’ll often hear. Bill Gates: Trump, Musk and how my neurodiversity made me Gates has just finished the autobiography of his early life, Source Code , which is why he is in uncharacteristically reflective mode, trying to make sense of his astonishing career. “I suppose I am turning 70 this year, Microsoft is 50 and ... |

My fantasy would be a town that caters to High Functioning Autistics. Not folk that are barely getting by but rather people who are getting by financially comfortably but find the environment around them to be non-optimum. While I am no Elon Musk (based upon recent news: THANK GOODNESS!) I am finan... |

Quote: Again doesn't appear you are familiar with statistics with autism, nearly 50% of autistic adults that were diagnosed at 8 are intellectually disabled by 18 which eliminates 98% of jobs, the 2% that remain are increasingly filled by low wage immigrants and automation. Most autistic adults even those relatively hf live with their NT parents as they have problems living alone, many others require NT carers for a few hours each day. Bro's reaction when he learns of autistic caregivers: 8O Of course your plan maybe to exclude by default those of us with higher needs... |
