I never suspected it. When I was 10, I had trouble with a lot of things and a psychologist decided I had it. That was that. |

It sounds like it could be burnout from all the socializing. Last year, I was volunteering full time and living in a house with six roommates. I liked it all, but I often got a sense of being tired/wired after prolonged socializing. Like the regulative part of my brain was fizzled out, and that made... |

Sometimes my friends will tell stories about things that happened when we were all together to me, apparently having forgotten that I was there.
Also, people refer to me as me quiet a lot. Which is odd, as I don't try to be quiet nor do I see myself as such... |

I'm sorry that happened. I feel like being disabled in this way makes you an outsider to any community. Hey, are you responding to OP (me) or someone else? :) I'm mostly just saying that being on the spectrum is isolating regardless of who you are, in terms of racial, sexual, or religious identity. |

Apologies to people I haven't been able to PM.
I'm doing my best to practise more self-care, to avoid burnout at this time of year.
How are you doing today? Is everything going a little easier? |

I remember reading through a study on Asperger where we can see pictures of the crying children he sent to get murdered by the Nazi state. I'm aware that Asperger's phenotypes came from some boys he described who he was trying to save, but the man was complicit in the murder of other children who he... |

I just don't understand why we insist on calling it Asperger Syndrome. Most of the research was done by Lorna Wing in the 1980s. If we want to bring something like that category back into the fold, call it Wing's Syndrome or something. She was the one who did all the heavy lifting, and she wasn't a... |

Hitler had Aspergers. They experimented on aspies to see how they work. Hitler had excellent social skills. He's one of the most charismatic and persuasive speakers the world has ever seen, it's how he got the power he did. I doubt he was on the spectrum. According to WP everyone's on the spectrum.... |

I'm a volunteer intern just out of college. This is my first "job" job. About a month ago, my boss's boss sent out an email about a job training summit/seminar that was virtual, and continued to send out email reminders weekly. During that time, I would see the email reminders and then... ... |

huh, maybe UK men are more assertive? I got hit on by an English fellow at a bar tonight, not that anything came of it-- my friends grabbed me before we really got to talking. :/ |
