Bird flu (H5N1) has been moving from birds to animals and even some humans in the past few years. So rather then wait until this disease explodes into a full human pandemic, one of the most deadly ones ever known, perhaps we could stop the spread in birds which will test our ability to control this... |

The temperature dropped to 8.6 degrees F ( -13 degrees C) last night. But the ground has no snow. The birds were out looking for food, so I took a little bit out and fed them. Storms to the north of us and storms to the south but we were in the middle and the days are getting longer. Spring is coming. |

Snow is falling to the north of us and to the south of us but we are in the middle of two storms. The temperature is 24.6 degrees F ( -4.1 degrees C) and still dropping. We will see what tomorrow brings. |

Yes, clothing can come in pretty handy in the cold. I actually have layered clothing that will allow me to move in temperatures close to -100 degrees F ( -73 degrees C) for a little while. Luckily, I do not normally have to use them. |

The cold of winter decided to come back for a visit. The temperature dropped down to 18.1 degrees F ( -7.7 degrees C) last night. The weather forecast calls for more cold and possibility for snow this week. |
