I get what you mean. I was in the same boat in my late teens and early twenties, focusing on getting through college and figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. Starting a family wasn’t even on my radar back then. It’s funny, though—biologically, our bodies are ready for that stuff early, bu... |

My dad has also wondered about me transferring my job to where he lives and wondering if I'm happy with what I'm doing. I've explained to him I seem to be fine with my work and once think of getting a different job somewhere else but I seem to have little interest in moving on to another field of jo... |

I read a study in which 18% of 25 to 34 year olds are still living with their parents and struggling to have enough money to move out, rent or their own property. I sometimes feel "bad" because unlike my peers I haven't had an urge in my brain telling me to move out and continue to live wi... |

I can't understand why we are more fertile in our late teens/early twenties when people's brains are not fully formed and matured until later. It makes it come across as though that is the ''ideal'' time to start thinking and having children but back then, that was the last thing on my mind while it... |

I seem to think that had there not been things like clubs, bars, parties when you're young, man-made deadlines or expectations to have to start by a certain stage in life having relationships, sex, marriage and kids etc I seem to feel I wouldn't be having these comparison thoughts or missing out as ... |

I always find myself doing other things but not actively going on a dating app. I even seem to feel I've got little interest in social media, despite having a Facebook and Instagram account, but I don't spend my life always taking photos of things or myself unlike when I first started using it. I th... |

I sometimes have bad days whilst at work where I find myself not wanting to engage with some of the staff and just go about my day being quiet doing my job. I obviously can't remain silent as I have to engage with customers and staff because of my work. I find it hard to try shut off any personal th... |

I'm finding it hard to rid myself of this self imposed pressure made in part by myself and from what I've heard from other people, that because I'm in my 30s I've got stop doing things as though I'm a bit younger and be more serious about life like finding a partner sooner rather than later just bec... |

I seem to think there have been a number of things that have happened that I've been struggling to get to grips with and include my sister having a son in 2019, a work colleague and friend died suddenly at 50 in 2023, two granddads passing away in October 23 and January 24, colleagues from work I've... |

It feels like almost everyone around me around my age or younger are with a partner, got married, have kids etc and I feel as though I've hardly changed at all. I still live with parents, at work I live with mum and her partner and sometimes ill stay round my dad's, unmarried with no children. I say... |

I seem to get this impression that because someone is in their 30s, they really need to, like someone like my dad would say to "knuckle down" with finding a partner and settle as soon as possible, or otherwise you'll end up being alone in old age, which seems to I think just aggravate and ... |

When I've heard stories about declining birth rates and people expressing their concerns about it, it does some way aggravate the anxiety and the self-imposed pressure in my brain that my time to find a partner, settle down and start a family is ''running out'' and that I must act sooner rather than... |

I seem to feel I have days when I'm at work where I won't engage much with the other staff or customers for a while until later on during my shifts and will take myself off the shop floor for a few minutes. I know that people are not supposed to bring personal issues into work but it really is a str... |
