General rule for internet dating - don't ever pay for anything your opposite wants of you until you met first time in real life and even afterwards stay carefully with anything like that. If your opposite dislikes any video chat then they are most likely scammers who use fake accounts and pics. Auti...

My worst lab safety violator was in this group. He had a masters in electrical engineering, but incredibly dangerous to himself and others in lab. Multiple times in a semester I caught him picking up solid potassium hydroxide (strong base) pellets with his bare hands. He would not use a spatula nor...

There is a fellow who put up a prize of $25,000 for anyone who can explain a fairly common process to him. His money is quite safe, not because nobody else understands it, but because he cannot learn it. What kind of a 'fairly common process'? Reminds me to "Divide each difficulty into as many...

I am highly intelligent. Oh Really? Then you are for sure able to tell what that means and to define what intelligence is and how it works then. Please share your wisdom with us! "Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has."...

Religion doesn't makes much sense to me. I know that it's a thing of sharing emotions for NTs why ever they are into that. May be the ancient German religion does a bit because it teaches that you have overcome your fears. If it comes to the Christianity I don't get why the people who are into that ...

Not even few 'smart' people are unable to deal well with real life because you have to deal with reality and especially to deal with other people right as well. Life isn't just books nor games nor whining about the world. For being smart you have to master the reality as well. Don't hide but ...

First you should define 'smart' and afterwards you can ask that. Are you smart enough to survive on your own in wilderness without tools? Or for hunting and fishing? For repairing cars? Or programming the electronic control units of them? To build an air-craft or a rocket or a gun or a 3D TV? Smart...

I also quit my energy drinks for good and back to drinking only water again. That should help my skin since lack of water ages your skin faster making you look older. Drinking water is OK. Drinking to much isn't good. The body needs to keep a level of salt in it's fluids. Drinking to much causes th...

A little update but I switched to a different city in The Phillipines and I got 115 matches! That's crazy! Be aware of lots of fake accounts and scammers who want you to pay only for whatever (e.g. 'investments'). It's also pretty common for women on dating sites to use very old pics for looking yo...

An NT person can be selfish, ignorant, mean, bullying, narcissistic, heartless, etc, etc, etc, but still be considered to have empathy. Because she or he knows and cares the feelings of the others despite of that. The other NTs can relate to his or her feelings and for this to his or her behavior a...

Right, so if that isn't emotional empathy then what is? I'm sick of being denied empathy here on this forum. Nobody can't tell without knowing you and watching you what's up with you regarding that. Everybody may have feelings regarding the way that others may feel or suffer but not feeling empathy...

I think most Aspies have trouble with cognitive empathy, which is recognising body language and other social cues. Emotional empathy is what most Aspies have, even if they don't show it it doesn't mean they lack it. I have emotional empathy, meaning I can imagine other people's emotions in situatio...

I couldn't resist reposting this... So, what is the definition of empathy? Good question! Empathy means kind, caring and understanding. Oh, right, well I'm generally a kind, caring and understanding person, and when someone is telling me their feelings I am a good listener, so I think I have empath...

I'm thinking abstract and in words but not in pictures nor emotions even that those can be part of an abstract thinking. That's not as rare for Asperger's but less common for other forms of autism as far as I know. Thinking in words is just what it says. Words are just names for abstract things, hap...

Leonard Nimoy's ears were augmented, not attenuated.
